I'm pulling for Gonzaga, and not because I'm a Trojan fan.

Ok, mostly because I'm a Trojan fan.

Geaux Tigers!

It is very painful to say that as a Longhorn fan.

Gutsy effort so far considering our SEC player of the year and SEC freshman of the year were both taken out a while ago with 2 fouls. How they could call all those ticky tack fouls early and not call that Mcroberts piggy back ride is beyond me. The refs have been really inconsistent for both teams thus far.

Hopefully this stays a good game throughout. (Although I would take a LSU blowout in 2nd half too. )

Nobody watching the Memphis/Bradley game? I get the chance to watch both, and both are looking like great games.

Our station switched to the Memphis game, but I would rather watch the LSU game so I'm watching it online. The Memphis game is on TV with the sound down for me, though.

Enberg: "Uncharacteristicallly cold shooting by Redick in the tournament tonight"

I thought Redick has historically been mediocre in the tourney...

I thought the refs did a pretty good job of calling an overall clean first half, so far in the 2nd, however, the foul calls against LSU and similiar no calls against Duke have been a bit suspicious. Still, a great game thus far. We will need to do a better job of executing to hold on to this lead.

I think LSU's ability to block shots near the basket has been the difference in the game. When Duke goes inside, they either get stuffed or are intimidated and throw up a wild shot.

duke cant even hit a wide open lay up. and redick's last shot, he just threw it up there. he is definitely frustrated.

and he was 17-34 9/19 n the tourney

They've made Davis play by a completely different set of rules. Williams can bump him but he can't touch Williams.

Conspiricies my ass. The refs are letting everyone play and calling it real loose, except for Davis.

And the foul on Rolle at the 8 minute mark. You touch Williams and you get a foul.

he's a lot bigger. when he makes the same foul, its easier to notice. i contend this is a horribly reffered game.

thats 4 on williams, but its obviously one-sided

At least they are calling some on Williams too, but still, I think this second half has been called unevenly in Dukes favor. Duke might be winning without the calls, but I would sure like to see them totally earn the half against us.

Big Baby hasn't fouled out all year(including on the road in the SEC, where visiting teams always get hosed) and hes got 4 fouls in that limited of time on the court? Seems a bit odd.

I want a replay to see if that foul was actually of Paulus, or if it was on Shelden W., which woulda been his 5th.

How could you not be impressed with LSU? The defense has been unbelieveable. Easily the best defense I've seen played in this tournament.

We are what we are. GREAT athletes without a PG. We will make our share of ballhandling mistakes in every game, but if we play loose and play smart enough team offense, we can beat anyone.

I worry we will be tired Saturday, but even if it ends here, what a year. If Tyrus and Big Baby come back, and thats what they are leaning towards, we will be even better next year.

Idiot announcers at their Finest

"LSU fans stand up! WVU and Texas fans stand and cheer! No one wanted to face Duke!"

Uh ya, they are glad Duke is out because they didnt want to face them, not because they despise Coach K and Duke

Well, I have seen both of UCLA's games. Their defense is definitely very good, but I think that they have some weaknesses in the middle. Hollins is ok as a 7 footer in the middle, but besides that, who do they have guarding the interior? Mbah A Moute? Aboya? Micheal Fey?

Football or basketball, defense wins games.

BTW, JJ throws a mean elbow. And of course he doesn't get called for it.

LSU probably is better in the paint than UCLA; what I meant was that, considering Duke was the overall #1 seed, that it seemed more like LSU was a bad matchup for them (because of Duke's weaknesses). As bad as that game went for Duke (Reddick made 3 field goals and 2 free throws), they still almost won. I think either WVU or Texas will have no trouble with LSU.

Keep in mind this is an LSU team that also lost by one AT Ohio State and AT UConn. Still think good teams have no problem with LSU?

(*Now, if you are saying that just because you think we will be physically and emotionally tired, I might agree with you.)

LOL @ Davis rebounding his own FT miss with no other LSU players lining up... terrible game by both teams really. Shelden was the only player who showed up.

I don't think I had seen LSU play before today. I have seen WVU, UT, and UCLA play at least a couple of games each. I'll be surprised if LSU is in the Final Four.

Don't jump on me too hard: I don't watch a lot of college basketball, I'm completely prepared to be totally wrong.

Something else to keep in mind, LSU beat WVU once already this year.

I would be surprised if we straight up win saturday too. There is just likely to be too many turnovers from an LSU team with no PG and tired emotionally and physically. I would be surprised if we don't play hard/well enough to keep it close for at LEAST most of the game, however.

I also want to add that I think this was a bit of a down year in the ACC. This was in some ways the worst Duke team in 10 years, and it still won the ACC.

If Redick had had even an average night tonight then Duke wins that ball game.

When was the last time Duke DIDN'T have 3 or more NBA prospects in their lineup? And I only call this Duke team weak in terms of recent history; they were pretty clearly one of the ten best teams in the country.

Congrats to L$U and the $EC.. Always good to see Duke get knocked out, no matter who is responsible.

UCLA/GU game on now.. Morrison just looks funny. He runs funny and just looks like he doesn't belong on a basketball court. Weirdo.

I've never seen a team be more arrogant and cocky than Duke was. It was like the player thought they deserved to win the game simply because they are Duke and they didn't need to play.

I know. Nobody here in Detroit cares about Gonzaga and UCLA to the degree that they like the WVU-UT matchup. In fact, I was at a sports bar last night, no matchup was being talked about more of those today.

Coach K stop telling you guys to keep shooting 3 pointers. I would rip up the 3 point line in practice and go inside for the high percentage shot.
