If they all have to be custom made, it can get quite expensive. That said, that's outrageous.

It sounds like I'd either go without blinds or find another contractor

Nothing like coming to work on a Saturday with a ton of work to do only to have your computer taken over by a virus.

Watching Moneyball right now. I'm not going to say someone doesn't know comedy or doesn't have a sense of humor for not laughing at what I laugh at. But, if when Peter Brand (Jonah Hill) is leaving the room behind Billy (Brad Pitt) after letting Giambi go, you don't LMAO every time when he asks Art Howe (Philip Seymour Hoffman) "do you want this door closed?", then we probably won't agree much on what is or is not funny.

If they were custom, that really isn't a shocking figure if it's a decent-sized house.

edit to add: It's a ridiculous amount that I can't imagine I'd ever be willing to pay, but that's why I don't have custom blinds either.

Funny story at about 3:05 where Jalen starts talking about not wanting to invest 15k into blinds so he covers the windows with newspapers.

Move your thumb. It's obscurring the "20" in front of the "0 Calories"

Cucumbers are essentially water, so all that counts is the salt (don't think the dill would move the dial). It's probably in the 5-10 calorie range.

No way man, it says 0 for real, and a google search tells me that many others are similarly perplexed (though, I guess "0" really means "less than 5", and there is sodium so eating 500 of them would probably be bad.) Still, I feel like I could live off of pickles fairly comfortably for at least a few days.

Isn't the "over the top" method generally considered to be the correct way to put toilet paper on the holder?

The janitorial staff at work consistently puts it on backwards.

Just recorded a video message for George's retirement. Kind of weird, but, kind of cool at the same time. I really hope he doesn't mind that I did it using Jar Jar's voice.

I am ready for 2012 to be over. The amount of crap I have had to deal with this year. I am pretty sure my grades will drop, but at this point I do not care. I just want to graduate and start a business or something.

I know it's not always publicized or known far in advance, but why aren't there any websites that list when movies that are in theaters are leaving the theaters??

Seems like something the studios (or the theater companies) would have an incentive to get out there...

Box Office Mojo would at least help. See what the screen count of new movies is and you can make a pretty educated guess. A blockbuster will have a preset # of weeks to bring carried I think.

I mean, don't worry. Twilight will still be there a while longer.

Been there, done that (well, not the drunk guy thread) and I can definitely sympathize.

After college, I had been bouncing around for a bit between unstable temp jobs, not really finding anything and going deeper into debt.

I was going to an interview, one of many interviews I had done for something more stable, but one of the few I thought I had a legit shot at as it was geared towards folks coming out of college and they were going to hire quite a few out of a large block of people but the odds were about 1 in 4 which is better than most things coming out of school.

Anyways, it was icy and on the exit ramp off the freeway, I couldn't get any traction and put my car onto the media, blowing out 3 tires and the suspension, which, I found out in a few days totalled the car. Also, I did not get the job. It was just a big pile of suck.

I DVR'd the Pats/Texans game on Monday, haven't gotten around to it, and still somehow have no idea who won. Being in Idaho helps. After a day or two I even started getting reckless and going onto ESPN and facebook. Still haven't heard. Not I'm just curious how long I can go with this. Sure, you'd think I'd have to find out at some point before or during the next NFL weekend, but I don't know, I think I might be able to go further. Don't be tempted to spoil it here, I won't check back into this thread until finally watch it. Jerks.

I'm having a second thought today, which is admittedly rare. Been reading some of the Werewolf stuff, and I think it would be the basis for a great mystery/thriller. Or has this already been done? Someone disappoint me quick, before I pounce on this and get all rich 'n famous ...

I bet they don't make the final decisions for the following weekend until they get the previous weekend's box office estimates. I know on fandango, you can see the schedule on future dates, but the weekend times don't go up until Monday or Tuesday.
