There are lots of possibilities in a tie:

1) Tie broken by normal methods -- sndvls dies -- we learn nothing extra

2) Tie broken by good wizard who voted for sndvls -- good guy vetted

3) Tie broken by good wizard who voted for WVUFan -- good guy seen as bad

4) Tie broken by bad wizard who voted for sndvls -- bad guy looks good (very unlikely given sndvls role, but possible)

5) Tie broken by bad wizard who voted for WVUFan -- bad guy looks bad

All that, of course, assumes the DE have some who can break ties and act in the DE's behalf. If there is a tie-breaker for good, there's likely to be one for bad to I think.

I didn't.. I seriously say I didn't.. maybe because it was 2 a.m., but I didn't.. like I stated in one of my posts, I believed it because of his claims that he knew nothing about HP, yet he had this dis-apparate thingy.. he wouldn't make that up.. and I spent like half an hour googling and wikiing disapparating..

I think I started to get doubts though, when st. cronin went on to say that "this seals it" and he voted for Sun because he thought someone else gave him the idea. But by then I was so tired I didn't know what to do.

Someone hit the Avada Kedavara on me. My head's hurting. I've done my part. Got 2 DE's lynched in 2 days, and cleared 1 guy. Whoo.

the death of Sndvls sends you all to bed with a great feeling of strength. Two Death Eaters down in two days is luck that you could only dream of, but then you remember that two powerful members of your community were slain the night before, and some fear and trepidation comes back into your thoughts.

After several hours of uneasy sleep, you are awoken by a loud noise, the sound of somone knocking over a bin. Could the Death Eaters be that clumsy that they tripped on a garbage can, and hopefully alerted their victim before it was too late. That hope is dashed an instant later when you hear an incantation in the darkness. It is not the Killing Curse however that sends you to your windows to look out, but instead a cry of "Mors Mordre" rings through the village, and once again, over the house of Neon-Chaos glows the eeire and sinister Dark Mark.

As day breaks you one by one creep from your homes, hoping beyond hope that this Wizard who has led the charge against two Death Eaters in a row has somehow escaped death once again. As you enter his house however, you find the corpse of Neon_Chaossitting on his toilet, robes hiked up over his waist, his cold grey skin and empty eyes showing that he never saw or heard death approaching.

A futher search of his rooms finds a shallow stone bowl, exactly like the one that was in SnDvls chambers. A "pen-seve" he called it. The same silvery substance is swirling around in Neon's bowl. It is now clear that Neon_Chaoswas exactly what he claimed to be, a Legilimens.

It is now Day 3. Vote ends at 9:30pm tonight.

Here's the single killer problem if we tied (and the vote did NOT go to SunD) last night.

We tie. Someone dies, Sun lives. A clever wolf would then leave Neon alive to view SunnyD, which would clear him, since he shows up on scans as a villager. Bam. There's a wolf who is very much in the clear.

That. Is. Bad.

With Nine people voting for WVU, I am sure there are not nine DEs in there. So how do you separate the wheat from the chaff? I laid my logic out clearly. A tie is good to uncover another trusted person, period. I did not specify any trust for Sun. I was okay with going for a tie and validating something. I was also okay with letting Sun get lynched for that question to be settled. There are 2 reasons the vote outcome that Superman decided, was not changed.
1. Neons uncovering the mistake in Sun’s defense of magical use
2. Cronin pointing out there may be a Occu-something that allows Sun to cover his true feelings. That is why I kept asking if anyone had any other ideas on validating Sun if that happened
3. Sun’s stating he had multiple magic items – okay three reasons.

All three of those I stated firmly as problematic. Also, had the worst happened, Sun lived and Neon scanned him as okay, I was ready to NOT clear Sun and deal with that long term.

Bottom line is, I wanted to keep the heat on more than one person to keep everyone talking and see what we could get out of it, get a tie to validate a player and then address Sun.

Whelp. I'm coming out firing again. MrW, defend yourself. You've been very quiet, piled on quietly to Qwik in round one and did the whole "I'm not around" bit late last night to very nearly force a tie on SunnyD. Both you and Path have some explaining to do, but, since I feel you're really flying under the rader....

Vote MrWednesday

Holy crap, two Death Eaters in two days! Outstanding work fellas! It sucks that we lost Neon, though. It would have been really nice to get another scan or two out of him...

Well I won't be hurrying my vote this time.. but I'll be listening to what people are saying. Right now I'm leaning towards Neon's suggestions though.. the way things are, I'll be casting my vote on Alan T if nothing jumps out as more likely.

I'm still curious about Coffee . No evidence, just a gut feeling.

CW, that's radAr. Sorry, I'm a radar tech.

Agreed, I'm not comfortable with Mr.W right now either. I always wonder when people I consider big time players, power players if you will, slink in the shadows. I consider Mr. W one of those because usually he's able to drum up something worthwhile.

VOTE Mr. Wednesday

I had some ideas about Lathum early, but then CW caught my eye. I can't remember now exactly why I figured Lathum for a deatheater though. Is there anything specific you're thinking about?

While I think its possible that at least 1 DE might have voted for sndvls, with the vote being so close, I think its less likely than day 1 where it seemed an obvious lynch vote. I don't think we can rule out everyone who voted for Sndvls, but probably should focus to start on those who didnt:

Coder - vote Coffee Warlord

I am only looking at votes, not reasons. I'm looking at people who on days 1 and 2 voted for known humans, and who used their votes to try to save SnDvls. Jeeber fits the bill.

Mr. Wednesday was pretty fast on the trigger on voting for Qwik on day 1. He could be a death-eater, but I'm not really convinced.

It just feels like he was suspicious before, and his late rally to tilt the vote away from SunDvls feels sinister enough for me.

as a new day of discussions begins, you still lack the answer to one question...were the Death Eaters that attacked Neon so clumsy as to have knocked over a trash bin? a search of the town takes place, and although it is originally thought that nothing was found, as one of you walks through the Square, their foot catches on something silvery and gossamer on the ground. You all immediately run over, as a badly torn Invisibility Cloak is lifted from the ground. It is torn nearly in two down the back, and since there is no body anywhere nearby, it is clear that the wearer is still among you. Murmers run throughout the crowd, and the answer comes to many of you at once. Death Eaters don't wear invisibility cloaks....

Does this mean that someone wearing the invisibility cloak followed a death-eater and witnessed the killing?

My defense (such as it is) is laid out over the last three pages or so. When one has done something that turns out to have been a very bad move, there's only so much you can say about it -- I can explain myself until I'm blue in the face and blather endlessly about pointlessly throwing away a vote on a wizard or some such, but nothing's going to hide the fact that there's a lot of logic in voting for me or the other one who created the tie at the last minute.

I think that would be best case. Im guessing they had the chance to choose someone to spy on with it last night. Hopefully whoever had it chose to watch Neon last night with it as the main target and witnessed what happened to him.

Getting a third DE in 3 days would be outstanding.

As I said yesterday I'm not fan of Wednesday after the crap he pulled yesterday, but I fear a runaway bandwagon if I jump on at this point so I'll take another suspect...

What's your take on who to look at, then?

Considering the mark in the sky, I think that's pretty unlikely.

Not sure if it does -- it was just the first thing that popped into my head. A invisible witness makes a little more sense.

If somebody had a one-time witness type skill, they should come forward, no?

Hell, I originally thought (and it's still not a half bad idea) for em to come forward, one time use or not. We're WAY ahead. However, the potential for a fake reveal concerns the hell out of me.

Although, considering it'd wind up being a 1 for 1...that might not be a problem either.
