What the... when did he get an erection? And for me, he seemed straight early in the season... and now seemed to shift towards being gay. Maybe he's bi.

I find it kind of silly if NBC or someone "official" has come out to make the statement that the character is not gay. (If that's what's really happening).
I always thought it was a little ambiguous, which was fine and the way it should have been. I sort of figured that he and Claire were sort of on parallel tracks, she was learning to deal with who she was (a hero) and he was learning to deal with what he was (gay). It wasn't overt or anything like that, but something much more subtle. He was sort of giving Claire advice about herself that he wished someone would give to him. It all made sense in a nice, poignant under-played sort of way. I liked it. It was not heavy-handed and left some ambiguity sort of like real life. It was all about hey, I'm the cheerleader's GAY FRIEND. DID YOU KNOW THAT? I'M GAY!!!! It seemed to be a much more adult/realistic portrayl of it all. I guess that was not the case. Oh well. It was a very minor, little sub-plot that gave the character a little more depth. Considering he's going to be the next "John Connor", I guess it wont matter much.

Heroes picked up a Golden Globe nomination today for best TV drama-certainly not something I would have expected even as much as I enjoy the show.

I'm really enjoying this show so far, but i have a disctinct feeling it's going to go in the shitter quickly. Of course that could just be my network tv paranoia... but network tv is pretty much batting 1.000 when it comes to ruining anything promising or original before it's conclusion.

to be honest, it really hasn't felt that long since the last episode. i thought it would feel much longer. this show has done everything right so far, in terms of the timing and layoffs. i wish Lost would have take their cues from this show, maybe it wouldn't have gone downhill so quickly after the 2nd season.

Looking at past schedules, Lost had even less time between shows than heroes.

actually your'e wrong. you're not counting all the consecutive weeks of repeats. i don't think Heroes has had any repeats, and if they did it was one week. i agree with the two-mini seasons in one format. give me a long string of original shows, take a month off, then give me the 2nd half to the season. i like how Heroes did it. Very cool, an invisible man who doesn't have to be naked!
Yeah, the show looks like it won't dry up for the rest of this season. People are starting to connect. Haitian man is talking. And Linderman finds a way to stay in the storyline.

Loved the episode. Very interesting actor selection to play the invisible man. As soon as we saw he was in the opening credits, we were trying to guess what character he would be.

Double dola, silly me, I didn't include the code.
f90ad64d3e6fc85b784c2b11595c1sa0 But if you follow the link that it will give you if you actually match that code, it takes you to a fancily encoded primatechpaper.com/jobs that seems to just dump you back at the home page.

I figured it was legit, I am just a bit disappointed. And still think it's cool too, if that makes sense. The airline site for Lost was done right.

So I called the phone number. You get a recording of course, every option says operators are busy and to try later or visit the website.

Another decent episode. I finally got to watch it this morning.
While the whole Niki/DL plot continues to pretty much run its own course, her being crazy in jail is a much welcomed change to the whole family wandering around the Nevada contry side taking shelter in abandoned cabins and the like. I think Natahn was the best character this week. Adrian Pasdar is such a better actor than the rest of the cast, that his presence really helps. I loved his interactions with Hiro, who was in top form. From stealing the samurai sword, to shouting "Flying Man!", and the when Nathan asked Hiro to "keep it down", Hiro made the "flying man" motion with his hand lower. Classic stuff. I like the Hatian Guy getting more involved. It will be interesting to see what his angle is exactly. He soudned a bit like a bald-headed, better dressed Mr. Ecko with the whole "god" thing. I liked it. It makes a lot of sense for a religious person to think of it in that way. I liked Claire desperately trying to re-create her friendship with Zack. I see that ending in tragedy, but, again, it made sense. Mohinder continues to be a walking, talking narrator. All he seems to do is give exposition as to what's already happened. They really need to give this guy some more character or at least write him better. It should be interesting to see Hiro head back to Vegas to deal with Linderman. I think they've handled the Linderman thing very well so far. I'm looking forward to seeing where they take it. Parkman's plot took a bit of a twist, but it seemed consistent with his character. It will be interesting to see what he does next.

A few random thoughts from me...
I'm surprised no one has mentioned the symbol being spelled out.. I'm not sure what it means, but at minimum it seems like a potential claim that Heroes are not a new phenomenon... I'm wondering where we're going with Hiro's "weakening" power.s... is this isolated to him? Can we expect others to have weaker powers? There's a part of me that was wondering if Claire would actually die this time (I know, not likely).. .but it leaves open the possibility that others have issues with diminishing powers at inopportune times.

When Hiro and Ando were at the Musuem, what did he say it meant? Something about God and powers? The new guy seems a little older than the rest of the characters introduced already. Makes you wonder if there have been generations of people that discovered they had powers as well and that it had nothing to do with the eclipse.

I thought the exact same thing, something like she would jump and just not get up this time... On something else, anybody thought it was kind of odd that DL reached through the window to grab Niki's hand, while the guard was standing right behind her? I didn't think a big deal of it when the hand holding happened at first but then a few minutes later, she asked the guard if she could hold her son and I thought "WTF, didn't he see DL just reached through???". Just thought it was a bit odd... FM

I don't think Hiro's powers have weakened. He has never had real control over them, and now thaat he lacks confidence it is even worse.

I thought about that ancient samurai with the symbol and thought about posting something about the symbol as well. As far as Hiro's weakening power, I almost wonder if it is due to a psychological block from his loss of the waitress (whose name is escaping me at the moment.) I haven't seen any indication of anyone else losing their power so far. |
