Ok. I originally thought I could do 11:30 AM but I forgot about a 12:30 meeting today. We are probably going to have to wait until after July 4th to sync up our schedules. 11:30 PM is too late for me to play and I work the rest of the mornings until then. After July 4th, I should be able to play one morning that week. |

I finished my project unexpectedly early. So, I have some time to play early tomorrow morning if you are available. I'd be looking to start around 7:30 AM and could start as late as 8:30 AM. Does that work for you by any chance?

My wife and kid woke me up at 7.. I saw no reply and went back to sleep after they left to run errands. I'm up now and getting on if you are still around.
Edit: I'll keep hanging online until 8:30. After that, it will be too late for me to start as I have to go by 9:30 ish.

Yeah, good game man.. That RB I got is just tearing it up in the early going this season, I hope he keeps it up. He's been hard as hell to bring down. Seemed like about 3 or 4 times he was inches from taking one to the house. Our defense was giving up a lot, especially on that drive where I had to make my son some lunch, haha.. But the kick return TD and the interceptions were instrumental in keeping us ahead.
Until next time, sir.

In a surprisingly good effort from our defense in the snow, we took down Fairbanks 20-7. They loaded up and went all out to stop the run, so we managed to gain most of our yards through the air, but their speed made it hard to punch it in to the end zone or sustain drives. It was a really good performance by our secondary to keep us comfortably ahead.

First the background:
My work life has been very stressful. I'm doing very well in my company but I'm also rising into senior management which is stressful. I'm back in school for my MBA. I'm also trying to maintain a great balance of work-family time. As a result, I have a relatively limited amount of "me time." I've been getting frustrated with this team to he point where I was thinking about either burning my mobile QB's redshirt or just quitting the league because I haven't had much fun the last few weeks. This limited me time, I don't mind a challenging game, but I have to feel like I have some shot to win and I haven't felt that lately with this team... Now, onto the game. We started off on defense against a great Tucker team... and our defense shut them down. I didn't have faith we could keep doing that and I tried to covert a 4th and 1 inside their 25 and failed. Our defense shut them down again. I learned and settled for a long FG when in 4th down. By halftime, I was up 6-0 and playing lights out defense!!! Wow. Ball control offense was helping our defense and I was having fun although somewhat frustrated by our offense ineptitude in key situations. In the 3rd, our FB held onto a TD pass and we were up 13-0. A very fun 4th quarter had us up 20-0 late in the game until they went on a total B.S. drive, but we still held on for a 20-7 win. Whew, so happy to have a fun game with this team. Edit: All teams are ready to advance. Sorry for the hold-up in getting this game in.

Asheville used a run heavy offense mixed in with PA passing and short controlled passing to upset another top 25 team as we took down Fredrick 31-28.

Ugh, that was so frustrating. The Osprey's QB is insanely fast and I don't have the team speed to keep up with him so I knew we had to play keep away. It worked well and we were down 21-17 with chance to win the game from the 2 yard line with time expiring. 4th down, I call a PA pass and his guy bit, but despite me jamming on the throw button twice, it wouldn't throw. Colvin gets sacked and we lose. So frustrating! Good game Grammaticus.

You played great strategy. After my fourth down turnover and that weird interception that I immediately fumbled, I thought this is not going to end well. Can't believe the D lucked out in the end. Good game.

Intense, man.
I feel like we're all so close to the same level and all our user vs. user games are so high tension it fills me with a sense of dread because going into the game I know its gonna be a dog fight every time. By the end of the first quarter the palm sweat is dying down and I am getting calm, but then in the 4th quarter I tighten right back up if the game is close at all. Its a real stress test, heh.

He's cooled off a bit as the season has continued on, I think he might have just been hot before. He seemed to break a lot of tackles that he hasn't broken the past couple weeks. I'd love a blowout though, that would be a confidence booster, heh.

That was a weird hang up we had in the first attempt to play. I paused the game because I was trying to get my son to go to bed so he would be ready to wake up at 6 for our trip to Wilmington tomorrow, then my controller simply ceased to work in game at that point.
Then the game happened.. Wacky stuff all around. Looked like I was going to take a comfortable lead into half time when my safety just decided to let kodos' WR have a ball deep down the middle and we gave up a score on 2 plays with like 12 seconds left. But the vaunted running attack we had been struggling with for a week or two woke back up in a big way after that.. Some back and forth incredible offense went down for a while, then we managed a late pick to seal the deal in one of the more exciting contests I think I have played against anyone. I noticed after the game kodos QB got knocked out, I didn't even realize it until I saw the stat sheet... So that sucks balls to know. The backup was sloppy but he made some good throws in there too. Just too many interceptions in the end. Our defense has been able to hang with everyone this year and they were a big part of this win, but I would have to say Harris was the MVP. There was one run in particular that was a jaw dropper.. Might have been the best stick work on a single play I have ever achieved. Just barely got out of a tackle at the line of scrimmage from kodos himself, then juked inside and back out and barely outran the rest of the Rochester D. It did feel like our guys were running in sand a few times, like they couldn't hit their top speed or something.. But that might be because I am used to playing with my single player team where I have a couple burners handling the ball a lot. I practiced for this one Kodos, haha.. Didn't trust myself going in cold.

That was one of the worst games I've played in a long time. I've become too predictable in my playcalling, and without some fluky plays, this would have been a blowout. I couldn't stop those outside runs, and your RB just started breaking tackles all over. GG, Julio. I've got some work to do. I also need to get used to using a standard playbook. I've yet to have a game against you where I wasn't missing some defensive formations. (That's not why I lost, just a source of frustration.)

Despite going with a run heavy offense (well for my preferences, it was actually about 50-50 run/pass mix), we were able to dominate Navy 77-7. We actually had them shutout and under 65 total yards late in the 4th before our defense fell apart on one drive to give them some yards and their only score.

Struggled to a loss this week. Just couldn't get stops on defense, couldn't keep moving the ball on offense. Too many drops.
