It's just a couple of games, but Cespedes seriously looks like he has 'I don't give a shit' syndrome.

Edit: And as I post that, he misplays yet another ball in the outfield.

Tried MLB.tv free game yesterday, picture was very good quality but wasnt sure I could justify $109 for an annual subscription.

Sometimes it's good to be a t-mobile customer, I now have it for free. So now I'm bumping this so none of my fellow t-mobilites miss out.

$80 for just your team is a pretty good deal on mlb.tv. obviously need to live out of market.

I'm pretty excited that MLB is now allowing streaming of local markets. That's a big deal. Previously, I could stream any Google Fiber channel on the app, but they would black out any local sporting events to streaming. This year, they're allowing Fox Sports to stream the local games on Fox Sports Go as long as you have a local TV account to sign in on. That's a welcome addition for sure.

MLB.tv is great. 2nd year now for me but I will say I HATE that now we have to see ads. How many fucking times I've now seen George Lopez, LG or L. Cain. Last year was always dark between innings not now. UGH

For the mildly unscrupulous, just use a free web proxy that is located out of the local market. Works quite well.

Those were Syndergaard’s final three pitches of the night. Those were sliders, at 95, 93, and 93. Those were sliders that Morales swung at and missed, not because he chased, like most batters do when they swing and miss at a slider, but because he couldn’t catch up to them. Noah Syndergaard is throwing sliders past people.

I hope he has a fantastic year. This way maybe Harvey will be over shadowed. I have a hard time pulling for the Mets when Harvey's on the mound.

MLB.TV question: Does anyone know how to watch from the beginning a game already in progress when watching on the iPad app? On a web browser, you can make "Play games from the beginning" your default; on the Amazon Fire stick, you can choose to start a game a game from the beginning when you select. I'm not seeing a similar option on the iPad, though.

One thing we have learned from the Reds first 2 wins over the Phillies:

The Phillies bullpen is atrocious.

I loved this section as well:

Quote:
Eno talked to a bunch of Met pitchers last July about the slider taught to them by pitching coach Dan Warthen. At the time, Syndergaard was just fiddling around with it. By the time the playoffs rolled around, Syndergaard was flashing it as a weapon. Yesterday, it was his second-most thrown pitch, and it was coming in four miles per hour faster than we last saw it. Think of how ridiculous that sounds, especially given our subject. Syndergaard used the slider for eight swinging strikes yesterday. Syndergaard used the slider for eight swinging strikes all of last year. The movement is different, too, with less vertical drop now than last season, and maybe a bit more cut. It looks less like a curveball, and more like its own pitch. One that nobody else in baseball can throw.

Le sigh. Though the silver lining is the fact that the Cubs have a glut of position players.

On the plus side if there was a position player we could afford to lose I think it's Schwarber. I love him as a player and hate it, but between Soler and Baez we have a lot of flexibility to fill that spot. I'm disheartened but not defeated yet.

As I just said to someone, the Cubs have more than a few big hitting mediocre fielding position players stashed around.

I was disappointed that the team MLB.tv package doesn't include the At-Bat app or the ability to stream the audio only of the team selected (either on the app or on the computer). Not sure it's worth $25 to me, but it seems like you should at least be able to stream your team's audio.

Dodgers rookie Ross Stripling, in his pro debut, has a no-hitter through 7 in SF.

I'm not sure he'll have the pitch count to finish it, he's in the mid 80's right now, but it's good so far.

Might have jinxed it, but it's his debut. F it. Would like a few more runs here in the 8th, just for him to feel safe and pull him out. And the game is in the rain no less

Dave Roberts is pulling him when the worst hitter on the Giants and then the pitcher is up. That seems...odd. Give him a shot to at least finish the inning.

If not for one bad pitch from JJ Hoover to Starling Marte, the Reds would be 6-0.

I'm happy I can go back to being driven fucking nuts by Terry Collins. Jim Henderson, the guy who is coming off shoulder surgery and has been excellent to start the year, threw 35 pitches last night. And yet he's the first guy out of the pen today and is allowed to go single-walk-walk before exiting.
