I can't understand why the Giants haven't benched Manning. Surely you could stand to give Nassib a shot at this point. Manning has just looked really really bad. It's a regression the likes of which I have not seen. I almost have to believe there is something physically wrong with him at this point.

I think part of it is the receivers simply aren't putting up much effort. I'd fire the receivers coach before the bye week and maybe cut one of the lower tier guys to see if I could get the message across that they need to pick up their game.

I feel bad for the team playing Minnesota this week.. Gotta feel like he'll be running quite angry after having something like this go down. What a shit situation for all involved, and I hope the dude that did it enjoys what is coming to him in prison.

I don't think he'll play this week. He said he would, but that was before he found out his kid had passed.

Horribly tragic situation. What kind of soulless person can do something like that my heart goes out to AP and his family. I can't even imagine what he must be feeling.

That's a pretty marked improvement. I'm going to say that quite a bit of that probably has to do with coaching. Even if we can all agree that Kyle Long is an upgrade and appears very impressive, the fact is that he had 4-5 career starts at guard in college. This isn't some guy coming out of Alabama with 30+ starts. So even though athletically he's a big upgrade, he's probably being coached up quite a bit.

A big part of the line's improvement is the offense Trestman installed. Both Tice and Ron Turner ran a ton of down the field pass plays. They didn't have many short passes in their playbook and with a shaky line it was a disaster.

With Trestman you have an improved line and an offense that doens't ask the line to block for 4+ seconds on most passing downs.

Maybe CW is right; it's only been six games. Trestman still seems overmatched at this level. Maybe I'm wrong. As a Bears fan, I hope that I am.

DVOA is adjusted for opponent.

Trestman has impressed me quite a bit honestly. Compared to the other options the bears had he seems like the right call. The offense actually looks like a NFL offense out there. Not the embarrassments the bears have run out there for nearly 20 years.

Going to be in attendance tonight at the Cowboys-Redskins game. I have no expectations of it being like last week's game.

I think her face problems are from a jogging accident she had a couple years ago that required a lot of surgery to fix. Thought they said it like peeled off half her face.

If the Eagles are planning on moving on from Vick next year, why not go with Foles the rest of the way this year?

Under 7 minutes in the 2nd quarter and GB has more rushing yards than passing.

New pet peeve, refs not understanding the QB feet first slide rule. They are supposed to be marked down at the spot where they started the slide, not where they ended up.

They can't be given the protection of the slide and the additional yards.

Jones was knocked out of the game in the first quarter, now Cobb just took a helmet to his knee. Going to be some tough sledding for Packers throwing the ball.

I know that they have had a super-deep WR core in the past, but with those two out and no Jennings/Driver this season I'm not sure where he is going to throw in the second half ... or next game, if these are more than single game injuries.

Fantasy points can say a lot about how the games are going. Games seem a bit blah. Only one person in my league has more than 50 points so far.

WOW. Why, Ravens? Why are you doing anything with less than 10 seconds left? Stupid.

With Lacy averaging 8.1 ypc, it might be time to use him as a workhorse. Ravens are no showing on offense, so this could call for a grind it out victory.

According to the guy on Red Zone, they only have 2 active healthy WR's left. Hope they have lots of TE's left.

how do you have your QB complete 15-21 passes for 186 yards and your RB run for 127 on 15 carries and only score 6 points ?

Also, no, aparently it´s not getting better ...

What will the Packers do without Jones and Cobb? Throw deep touchdown passes to Jordy Nelson. They lulled that Ravens D to sleep for two and a half quarters and then got them with the deep pass.

Apparantly Thad Lewis better than Tom Brady-Buffalo just tied Cincy on a Lewis TD pass.

Love me some Eric Reid. Hard to imagine before the season that he would be a significant upgrade to Goldson.

Mike Zimmer made some really weird calls today, totally disrespected Lewis and Lewis burned him on a couple. I hope he learns from this and his defensive playcalling against Hoyer and the Browns and stops taking extra chances just because the opposing QB is untested.

Also can't figure out why Minnesota didn't just feed Adrian all day long. Especially on a 2nd and 1 and 3rd and 1 fairly early in the game inside the Panthers 10. Really weird game plan.

Niners interior D-lineman just keep dropping like flies.

Hopefully that hamstring injury for Dorsey is not serious. He was playing well filling in for Ian Williams.
