The thing is in this league trades will be hard to make because the values of the players involved will have to be factored in. There are no draft picks to offer, so it would have to be player for player. I just don't see the opportunity for many trades to be made.

I think there is pretty good oprritunity. For example, I have both Antonio Brown and Jordy Nelson on my roster. I should be able to trade one of them for a player I may want to keep at another position.

It seems like people who make schrewd financial moves the previous season should have a chance to be rewarded.

You're number 3 on the waitlist so you will get which team is left over after cmp and bhlloy choose.

There should not be trades this season, too short of notice. Would have to be for next year

So looking into the offseason trade topic a bit more. Yahoo does not allow trades in its system, until the draft is complete and the rosters are finalized.

This could lead to issues for example:

Team A has:
QB Rodgers
QB Brady
QB Stafford

Team A can only keep 1 (QB), but would like to trade the other two for Team B's RB and Team C's WR. In order to process the trade to Team B and Team C, Team A would need to carry 3 QB's on it's roster during the auction which may lead to Team A being unable to bid on any QB's since they technically have 3 on their roster. I've tried to see if this is the case or not, but have not found anything.

To me it is pretty silly to not be able to trade in the offseason in a keeper league but it is what it is.

Once the league is complete and I can access the keeper allocation. I will check to see if I can allocate players to other teams.

i'm not a huge fan because if you're out of it you could just cherry pick a bunch of ir guys and flip them into assets the next year.

i don't know the specifics of this trade though

I am fine with trades if people want it, but not this year. You need rules ahead of time.

I think this is kind of the point, you should be rewarded if you have the foresight to draft or pick up really well at one position and end up with a few good options that you aren't going to be able to keep.

But I also agree with Danny's position that if it wasn't in the rules for this year, it's tough to spring on everyone. And if Yahoo can't support it, then it kind of makes the whole thing moot.

I'll be out in Napa today. Please PM me your keepers and I will post them as soon as I get home.

All teams are filled and I will update post #1 later as well.

Doug - I need you to activate your team on yahoo still.

I didn't forget to send in keepers. I just couldn't hold on to anyone for the price. Can't wait for the draft. Grilling some chicken, but will be done before the draft.

just noticed Yahoo did not save the starting auction amounts. It was fine last night before I went to sleep. Now it is listing everyone with a $200 budget.

I should have spent more money on RBs (or at least got a RB2, god damn). I paid early for 3 WRs when WR is deep and RB is shit.

thats true, I will consider any playoff appearance a success here. I went with Locker and Wilson hoping I could strike Newton like gold, we'll see lol.

I have the worst WR of any league I think I've ever played in. Gotta hope Titus Young wins that #2 spot and Stafford stays healthy, then it might just be below average. Not happy with my team either.

way too early to be up or down. teams that look great on paper in week 1 can be awful by week 6. the opposite is also true

i just hope participation is as good as last year. for a free league everyone played with a lot of pride

I liked everything I did in this draft except for winning the bid on Rivers and nominating WR Vincent Brown. Hopefully everyone stays healthy and Alfred Morris turns into Mike Anderson.

I'm totally lame. I forgot all about the draft yesterday.

The good news is that last year I drafted my own team and it was terrible. I can only do better this year with the AI drafting for me!
