Hey Alan,

I screwed up and d/l'ed the new file before updating the patch. Now I have a corrupt file...

I patched and tried again but the file seems to be bad still. Unfortunately the full file is still an old version I think. I am now stuck.

Try manually downloading the file from the webpage instead and see if that works

That's what I did. It seems that the file isn't playing nice. It says the db is corrupt.

Did you delete all the files in the folder or did you overwrite them? If you didn't delete all the files first try that.

It's a completely new folder. One was named FOOL-X.lg and the new on is foolx.lg. There is no crossover whatsoever.

I read somewhere that the Mac (me) needs to be on 11.2.15 to be compatible but the PC version is 11.2.17. Does that make sense to anyone? Unfortunatly the patch that I downloaded is 11.2.17 for Mac...

I'll keep trying.

So I got the game to load the file. Are we on 10/26/2014?

I am, however, getting a "cannot connect to server" error when I try to check for an updated file in-game.

I'm not having problems getting to the site right now and I see a good number of people have exported so it might be just a few of you with issues.

There were some fixes for ftp functions in this patch, try changing your online settings to use FTP passive mode if you are having a problem and then try exporting again.

If you can't get the file to upload at all, you are always welcome to email it to me if need be. Just drop me a PM to let me know you did so.

Does it show up as exported even if you didn't get the patch loaded correctly?

well turning it to passive mode did not work. are there any other options that i can check for that may have been changed in the patch? i also installed the game on a different computer, anything i can check for why it wont connect to either downloading the file or exporting?

Turn on the FTP trace log and attempt an export. Then PM me the results of the FTP trace log and I'll figure out why it is not working.

FWIW I was having the same issue.

I was unable to connect to download files in game and was also unable to export my file.

JT brought up a good point in that perhaps the accountsdata_gms.dat file had not been included in the file that I downloaded off the website.

I imported that file and everything works on my end now.

Glad to be back in the saddle! Now I'm off to check out my roster and get back into the regular swing after a hiatus.
