When I watch Dion Lewis play I feel like I am watching Mike Hart all over again. Kid is a stud.

24-10. Have to admit this is rather stacked against Cincinnati. Passing heavy team going against a running team in the snow, on the road, against an aggressive D, playing against a team coming off a tough loss, and Kelly doing nothing to dispel the rumors that he would go to ND, which is a huge mental hurdle in of itself. If Cincinnati wasn't so good offensively, I would fear this becoming ugly, but I'm not really seeing proof showing Cincinnati mentally showed up for this game either.

Too bad ... I liked the story about Cincy.. looks like they're going to be clobbered by Pitt.

BTW, would it have been smarter for the Punter to have just run back through the end zone for a safety, rather then give Pitt possession at the Cincy 5? (he picked it up at the 1-2 yard line)

In theory yes. But I doubt if placed in that situation you'd be thinking clearly enough to do it.

Probably not in my case.. but I've seen punters do it frequently before.

As it turned out, the Kickoff Return for a TD made it a net zero, as compared to a -2 for the safety and having Pitt get the ball again, so AS IT TURNED OUT, he made a positive decision for the team

Oh wow, 20 yard net after the 15 yard personal foul. Can Cincy make this a one score game...

Nevermind

I don't have a high respect for the football intelligence of kickers and punters

heh. You'd think they'd drill it in to their head... "Inside the 10, TAKE THE SAFETY!" (of course, the panic/adrenaline rush probably knocks everything out of their head)

And apparently the ball is going to explode at halftime, they're playing sillyball

Now this is setting your kicker up to fail.. 55 yards, into the open end of the stadium?

Tom Savage is playing like a true freshman. WVU up 21-3 after a pick 6.

I'm really beginning to think neither team wants to win in the Pitt-Cincy game

I'm beginning to think neither or these teams are that good and if they play the loser of the Bama/Florida game in the Sugar Bowl, they will get killed.

Now that i'm at my computer I can type better. I was yelling at the punter to rekick the ball since it didn't cross the line of scrimmage.

Rutgers has come up massive in the last 5 minutes here. Bomb TD to cut it to 3, and just stuffed WVU on 3rd and 1. Ball coming back on a punt now.

Rutgers shits the bed and gets a punt blocked. Ugh. I guess if they can at least just hold them to a field goal, this aint over.

Couldnt agree more, he had plenty of time to pull up plus the WR was not making an effort to go upfield at all.

If you're pitt, do you run or pass here...

I'd throw.. I wouldn't trust my defense in keeping Cincy out, and one more first down may be enough to run significant amount of time off

Big first down.

I'd still go for the TD, slick field, plus timeouts..

Cinc let them score.. if he downs it in the one during the run then game is nearly over. Now after that brutal mistake on the extra point, they're only up six.

Now they lose by one with Cinci's offense. Ouch, big time.

Ridiculously generous spot on that bobbled catch on first down

Well executed 2-minute drill by Cincy in one minute.

Rutgers did indeed blow that, I only caught the end, but what wasted opportunities..but that seems to be a Schiano special, though I prefer this and the new stadium than the days of 1-AA Rutgers.

What a heartbreaker for Pitt. All they needed to do was make the simplest point in football and they'd be AT WORST headed to overtime...but they biffed it.

Still time for a FG pending a decent return. Two timeouts left.

Better for the Big East if they're undefeated. So I'm glad Cincy came back to take it.
