Baltimore starts off the scoring in the bottom of the third as Laranjeira continues his hot hitting with a 2-run Home Run to put the Charm up 2-0.

That remains the score until the top of the 6th when Bartolo Rodriguez helps himself out with a RBI single that cuts the Baltimore lead to just 2-1.

The Charm add some insurance runs in the bottom of the 7th, on Miura's 5th home run of the postseason, a 2-run shot that makes the game 4-1 Baltimore.

Ann Arbor once again scrapes another run back on a Bowden RBI double.

Baltimore adds the run back however in the bottom of the 8th when Rowe scores on a throwing error by Ann arbor's pitcher Tedla Habimana.

Going into the top of the 9th, Ann Arbor trails 5-2 with their final three outs coming up to bat vs Baltimore's relief pitcher Gareth Dempster....

How's this one gonna wind up?

Bartolo Rodriguez...another great pitcher from the start that needs to retire. Now that Hasegawa's gone, I'm sick of the Quero's and Rodriguez's continuing to chug away.

Dempster strikes out Weeks looking to get the first out of the 9th.. but then the SPEEDY Guoncalo Castel (39 running speed) runs out an infield hit to make first safely...

After his display of speed, he is pinch ran for by Fernando Nieves.

The next hitter, Timothy Vallis comes up and fouls off several pitches before working the count full 3-2.... The pitch.. Line drive over the shortstop's head.. Nieves makes it to second base...

Runners at first and second, only one out. The tying run coming up to bat in the form of Michael Hart.

Hart this season only hit .244 with 4 HR and only 33 RBI. In close/late game situations during the season, he only hit a week .182.

During the playoffs, Hart has gone 0 for 10 and has yet to get a postseason hit this year...

Hart, likes the first pitch he sees... and he hits it hard....

Right at the second baseman... over to the shortstop for one... on to first....

DOUBLE PLAY!

That is the ball game folks! Baltimore has done it!

Baltimore 5, Ann Arbor 2

The Baltimore Charm are the 2024 FOOL Champions!

This would be a good time for allpro to pinch hit.

ahhhh it makes his loss a lot easier to swallow.

Harrington once again proves that if you have him you win. All that guy does is win. Wished I could have signed him at the end sim, ill take another shot in FA i guess. Although with the way buck spends these days

The new file is up!

The Amateur Draft is Thursday morning 7am ET. (hope no one wanted a pitcher this year).

HTML will eventually be uploaded while I sleep unless we have another random power outage tonight.

Man, that will be at least two years (three?) with little to no serious pitching talent then.

I know I used to talk about it in the old FOOL, and I wonder if the same thing is happening here: We're heading for a dearth of pitching talent that could cause problems for the league down the road, simply because the draft never seems to generate enough talent at this key position.

In every test that I did with our current league modifiers, it always went through ebbs like this. At points there would be 3-5 years of pitching dominated leagues, then 10 years of hitting, then 10 years of pitching etc.

I think the game must have some internal clock thing where it tries to balance out the levels but keeps over correcting because of how long it takes for the amateurs to actually make an impact.

Man, still waiting for a pitching stretch in 65 years now. Ugh.

Hey, you know what's going on, so I have faith in that. But it's still a bit annoying. It gives a distinct advantage to the poor team that manages to end up with the top pick in a draft with a supreme pitcher, and to those teams that got very young star pitchers to start. It would have been better for consistency if we somehow were able to vary up the draft talent breakdown for the first decade or so before letting OOTP go into its roller coaster.

He sent me an email to respond since he couldn't. His email said yes it is correct, Meija is a free agent.

I tend to release guys early, just because. Meija wouldn't listen to my offers so I went ahead and released him, so yes he is a free agent. I do that a lot when I know I don't want a guy, or in this case when a guy doesn't want me

As far as the draft goes, I will enjoy drafting in the bottom half of the order for once!
