When my game was complete, there would be no need to play FOF ever again.

Yeah, I wouldn't work anymore. I'm not one of those people that claim they couldn't sit around all day. I would sit around like a mofo. But I would do a hell of a lot more traveling. And I would buy my alma mater an FBS football program. Go UNO!

If I won $220 million?

I would definitely quit and relish in it.

I would likely do nothing for a while. Just sit back and enjoy life. I'd probably try to get in better shape, but other than that, it would be a lot of chillaxing with my wife, family, friends and dog.

I would certainly donate a lot of money (with someone else managing it) to certain charities/causes I believe in. Other than over-seeing things at a very high level, I don't think I'd get too terribly involved.

I would take care of my family/close friends.

At some point I would like to get involved in something I really enjoy, be it hockey, video games, comics, role playing games, something like that. No idea in what type of capacity, but it'd be something I'd look into. Eventually.

I'd buy the 3 houses on the left side of me, and the two on the right. Then build a massive house in the Neighbors back yard, way off the road.

But other than that I'd get a 58" tv, maybe a few comfy chairs

Interesting turn of events... earlier I decided to play the Powerball and quickly I saw the numbers on the news not realizing it was tonight it draws. I know for certain I have the powerball number and two others but I am not certain the rest because it was so quick and I was distracted...

I'll have to pick up a few tickets. Getting tickets for the poker group, a group at work pick them up and here will probably be a larger group from work getting them too.

My theory is that I hve even less of a chance to win because I usually have the "what if" plan in my head if I did win.

If I won on my own:
- My daughters would have a nice fund set up for them for when they turn 18.
- SEVERAL friends and family members would be made quite happy.
- Scholarship fund setup for the school which I went to (anonymously).
- I would start my own business.
- The usual travel and enjoy stuff as well (kick ass entertainment room setup in the new house which I would have built).

I think of a lottery ticket as buying a little fun for the day (or a couple of days), like 1/8th of a movie ticket. It's always a conversation piece- the inevitable "what would you do if you won $X million". It's like buying a fun little bit of hope for $1.

Won a hundred bucks.

I had 6-36-50 and the powerball 13. I guess I get a free tank of gas or a hundred lotto tickets. It's up to 77 million now.... I might just play 100 tickets since the money isn't mine away.

LOL. I turned $1 into $100 I highly doubt I will be able to win but before yesterday I didn't have the extra $99 so I will treat it like it isn't even mine. It would be nice to win 77 million dollars though last night I went to bed thinking I might have won. That feeling is sort of like a drug because when I woke up to check I crashed...still at least I slept good.

Like I said, it's like buying a little hope and good feelings. Any more than that and you're probably wasting money.

I would probably quit my current job ('cause I'm sure as hell not working 50 hours a week if I'm a millionaire) and then get some part time job (because the vast majority of my friends are people that I've worked with at one point or another...I'm not good at making friends outside of work).

Then I would become the T Boone Pickens of UTEP, donating millions of dollars to the school and getting my name on a few buildings. And then I would help my siblings out with any monetary issues they may have.

I would by a nice house for the wife and I (nothing too extravagant, but bigger than our current house) and a Porsche for myself, and the rest goes into savings so we can live off the interest...

GO LATHUM!!!

I think if you take the lump sum you get about half, and then taxes will take another half, so the $220 million jackpot ends up being around $55 million net.

You'd probably have to keep working....

According to the Texas Lottery website, the lump sum amount is $143.5 million. And if you set up a trust correctly, you should be able to keep around 65% of that.

Just start chatting dudes up in the waiting rooms of brothels.

Or go to strip clubs a lot. The girls there will all want to be your friend.

In any case, don't get a part time job to meet people. With that kind of money, you'd find lots of folks approaching you, thus taking the awkwardness out of the situation.

That's one of my biggest fears if we ever came across a lot of $$. Loooong lost relatives or friends coming out of nowhere, "OMG, Lorena!1!one!!eleven How've you been!? I've missed you sooo much!" Eh, no you haven't, you just found out I'm filthy rich and you want a piece.. no way Jose.

To avoid all this, some lottery winner in Illinois spent the time to set up a trust and then had it collected by a representative of the trust, with the result being that the public never knew the real identity of the winner.

I gladly vote Lathum. But frankly I've always been modest enough in my ambition that I would be happy with the 250k 2nd place prize. I would be able to clear off some debt and have more than enough to have a nice down payment. With the 220, I think a year of travel would about do it for me. After that I would need to get back to work. I work at what I do because I like it. I hope that would be enough to keep my motivation.

Two dollars invested. Not sharing with you all if I win.

However, if I do win I will be offering many of your girlfriends and wives some contract work for the business I will be opening in the San Fernando Valley area.

If I win the Lottery I am going to invest the money. My adviser says that I can just put the money in the stock market. He says that the stock market always goes up, and I can just put my money in there and forget about it.

Brought 93 tickets minus snacks from the gas station. If I win I want to fight a member from this board for 10,000 dollars UFC style. (I might be joking)

I am too young to have that kind of money. I wouldn't spend it on coke and hookers but I would spend it on stupid things. I am fully aware that I am not mature enough to handle that much money.

So I would take the payments and learn to mature. So for the first year or two I can go ape shit on a budget then settle down and live like a undercover millionaire.

Cash value is 143.5 million, per the tickets I just purchased.

Let's see, we'd pay off all our debt, buy a couple new cars (nothing extravagant), buy a house (again, nothing extravagant), and buy houses for our family out here in Austin, they either take 'em or leave 'em. Start trust funds for our nieces/nephews and kids so they can have $$ for college, pay off family's debts, and invest the rest.

There are still a ton of houses for sale in my neighborhood. You can start your own compound.
