There are a few options...
1. Ignore her and hope she goes away. 2. Tell her you don't want to talk to her. 3. Make up a lie on how you have an ultra possessive boyfriend that doesn't let you see anyone that isn't a scientologist because your brainwashing is not complete. 4. Say you are not allowed out of the house because the last time you did you broke your ankle. I can think up a few more if you want? |

Say you're pretty busy with stuff and are having enough of a challenge trying to keep in touch with closer friends.

I can tell you, from personal experience, that one thing that works really good on a stalker is a shot of pepper spray, right in the eyes. I'm still having trouble with my vision.

Well, it's done.
I was content to keep ignoring things, but then I got 2 IM's, and then after I blocked those, I got a mail to my flickr account (all within 30 minutes), so I replied there. I was probably harsher than I would have been if I hadn't been getting seriosuly weirded out by the stalker-ish-ness. I said how creepy it was that this person had obviously been looking up my online presence, in particular because I'd never announced that I joined Twitter (well I did here, but it's harder to Google stuff here I've found). I also mentioned that I haven't talked to anybody from high school in over 7 years, and I wasn't really interested in starting now. And I asked that this person not reply to my flickr mail, just move on. It was harsh, and now I'm literally afraid that I'll have a lunchbag of poo on my doorstep (or much worse), given how much stalker-esque stuff has gone on, but at least from my end, it's over. /tk

Lunch bag of poo is not to shabby given the possibility of a dead cat in a box.

Someone needs to take a class on handling stalkers. Hopefully you never hear from her again.

Yikes. The pseudo-stalker is either heartbroken or confused at this point.

You probably should have added you weren't interested in going downtown to eat or in checking out a doubleheader

HA! As a woman and that hardly keeps in contact with anyone from high school myself, I say be upfront and don't meet up with her. Just tell her, "Sorry, but I'm really not interested in meeting up. I'm not trying to be mean, but that's just how it is. Now please stop contacting me." I used to try to be nice to everyone regardless of how they made me feel, but you really don't have to be. There's nothing wrong we just telling her the truth - ESPECIALLY if you feel creeped out by her behavior. |

DING! I heart Lorena. She said she didn't WANT to be mean about it. THREAD WINNER! Seriously though, good that you let her know and dealt with it, hopefully she'll get the clue and leave you alone now. |

Well, I see you've made a move so I hope things work out. Hopefully she'll wake up and move on to another member of your high school to stalk for awhile! Really hope this takes care of it for you.
