Early action in Week 17:

Denver loses to finish the season 9-7.
Houston beats Jacksonville, which gives them the division title with a 10-6 record and a season sweep of us.
San Diego loses to finish at 9-7.

This sets up a situation where all we need to do is win and we are in the playoffs. If we lose there is a big 4 way tie for the 2 wildcards. I’d rather avoid that.

Week 17: Tennessee (6-9) at Indy (9-6)

We are 2 point favorites this week. With just seconds left in the first quarter, Garner runs one in from 16 yards out to cap a 91 yard, 8 minute 21 second drive and we have a 7-0 lead. The Tians get a second quarter field goal, but we hold a 7-3 halftime lead.

A field goal early in the third pulls the Titans to within 1 point, as 7-6. A Flanders to Mitchell touchdown pass of 18 yards puts us up 14-6. A Rossum touchdown catch of 15 yards gives us a 21-6 lead going into the final quarter.

A field goal with 8 minutes left puts us up 24-6. They score a few points very late in the game, but we take this one 24-15 and we are headed to the playoffs!

Garner ran for 96 yards and a touchdown. He also had 39 receiving yards.
Flanders was 24 of 34 for 261 yards and 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions.
Rossum had 89 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Guffey had 2 sacks.
Keisel had a sack.

We will travel to Cincinnati to play the Bengals in the Wildcard Round of the playoffs.

Cincinnati finished the season at 9-7 and qualified for the playoffs and a home game by virtue of winning their division by 2 games.

We finished the season with a 10-6 record. We stumbled down the stretch, going from 9-3 to 10-6, losing 3 of our last 4 games, but we seem to have refocused in week 17.
