Edit... and apparently when they post in this thread?

Yeah, I was going to mention that. I think FM's triple-quote and copy out of another paste was too much for the system to handle

I explained the reason for my name change.

I was formerly IndoorSoccerSim, I was using that name here for several reasons.

1) The ISM soccer game was under development and moving forward in progress, so I was trying to get a name out there.

2) I found FOFC because of HT, however, I migrated to the General, Dynasty fourma more than the HT forum.

So when the game evaporated due to two of the developers getting swamped (Three if you count me) and someone overwriting my main site with their league site, I figured I would go to the webname that I have used since 2000.....MacroGuru. My MSN, Yahoo Messenger, and all of my emails are macroguru as well.

That wasn't the intent of this thread, to talk people into re-renaming.
I just tried to provide some help in the potential confusion that arose for others.

Is it possible for me to change my name back to Antmeister while keeping the old start date and current post count of Antmeister71? I lost my password for that account a while back and I would like to drop the 71.

I would think they could change "antmeister" to something else, and then change antmeister71 to antmeister pretty easily.

I agree, but can they give me my original join date and not the one started on Antmeister71 while maintaining the current post count?

I was thinking about changing to pbnerd or Solcismic, but too many people would wonder where the old panerd went!

Doubtful. Just get a new password for the other antmeister account and start a massive dola-chain.

Post counts are editable (not by me or the other new mods, though) so if you really wanted to I'm sure it would be possible. The problem with that is that if someone did a search for your old posts they wouldn't come up under your old/new name.

I think I should change my name to kristinterp so that I can use /kt instead of /tk and totally throw everyone off.

OK, I'm a bit buzzed, so I probably find this a bit funnier than it really is.

/tk....or is it /kt???

Heh, well timed bump, now that it's become quite the trend lately.
SD, I mean, Ben's comment early in the thread made me chuckle.
