Such a valiant effort by my scrub plug-in team. With one Manning playing limited time, the other sucking it up, and Lamont Jordan injured and on my bench, I plugged in an Arizona QB, a Baltimore QB, and a pothead to try and salvage the game. I was relying on Kyle *freaking* Boller! And I got sooooo close. The real kicker is that if I had played Bruce instead of Porter or Julius Jones instead of Williams, I would have won, but neither had seemingly favorable matchups. But that WR combo of Holt and Moss was just too insane to overcome. Frankly, I had no business even being close in that game and almost came away with a win.

Congrats to Rafini- his team dominated all season and won the title!

Now that I've cracked and made that admission, I wonder if I'm only a couple of steps away from wanting to tongue-kiss Jaromir Jagr and give Bobby Clarke a blowjob.

Wow my inactive team had 4 whole wins. Sorry about that guys, between losing both grandfathers in 6 months and all the katrina rebuilding stuff with family, I had no free time until Christmas. I think any of you guys that got beat by my team should be very, very ashamed. Congrats Rafini!

I guess we can forgive you for that with everything going on

As for the ashamed-to-lose part, well, sometimes you just have a bad week and the inactive team has a good week. I don't think I lost to you, but it's bound to happen unless your draft was awful and your guys stayed pretty healthy.

Ok, looking for some feedback about the league. I've been trying to tailor the "perfect" fantasy league where there's good balance.

Top 25 (261-163)
7 RB
9 QB
9 WR
2 K with same points
7 DEF with same points

Next 25 (160-124 Pts)
5 RB
8 QB
11 WR
1 TE
2 K with same points
21 DEF with same points

Thoughts:
-I love the 10/15 yardage split for WR/RB. It makes the erratic WRs worth something when stacked up against RBs. No more of this 20/20 or 15/15 splits- WRs don't get as good of stats as RBs so let's make it fair for them
-50/10/15 sounds really lopsided for QBs but it seems to work out. I think that's because that's so biased towards TDs with 5 per TD. Maybe I'll drop QB TDs down to 4 and bump yards up to 40.
-TE's suck out loud. I wish I could just double or 1.5 modifier on TE points. Sure, Gates would be one of the best players in the league and Tony Gonzalez would be good, too. But It's much better than 1 in 50 now.
-I need some way to distinguish between defenses more. I like that the Bears were worth as much as a good QB or WR but there's no way the San Fran D should be up there with your usual 2nd and 3rd fantasy WRs.
-I think 10 is the perfect size for this type of league- 12 would really put a squeeze on finding a starting QB/RB. There is still quite a bit of scarcity, if you hold off on getting those but you can find a crappy QB or RB sitting around.
-Very much in favor of a week 15/16 playoff as opposed to 16/17 so that was a good call. Too many people sit in week 17- it was like the XFL fantasy league I did the year it was around. You just prayed you had a starter and hoped for the best.

Here are changes I'm looking at for next year:
-Change 3rd WR slot to WR/RB flex. WRs are marginally worth more but it'll give those RB hoarders something to do with #3.
-On defenses, make the "break even" point around 20 points, and start making negative points beyond that. Also, add in a component for yardage to balance that out so that good teams are not penalized but it does create some separation.
-For kickers, maybe make XPs worth 2 and/or bump FGs over 40 up to 5 and FGs over 50 to 6. They still aren't worth much.

Other questions?
-Two defense and kickers? I'm torn on this- it makes some poisitional scarcity there but those seem like so much more of a crapshoot compared to the skill positions.
