Yes, quite a few people have been "banned."

I hate to be the one to suggest this... I think there may be another board involved.

As we all probably knew, but didn't want to be true, SkyDog, battling severe cases of split personality, has forever gone over to using GroundCat as a forum alias, and since he banned himself in a moment of temporary blackouts, he now resides over att deanhouston.org.

Maybe. He said he just isn't used to someone wanting to be around him all the time. It's weird, too, cause I had sent him flowers, but then I had to call and leave a message so he knew that the flowers were from before...

All that talk of another board has got me thinking though, FOFC is indeed much less active than before... There was a time when, if you were offline for a day, you'd have 4 or 5 pages of new posts awaiting on your return. Now, it's barely a couple of pages... and most of them aren't that interesting either...

Probably due to the fact that the text sim market is VERY stale right now, and has been for some time now (pretty annoying actually).

There are only so many trout jokes/shorty drunk jokes that you can make.

HA is only in the penalty box, but he's determined to not return.

So I guess Coolroy will soon pop up as a FOFC member.

It always seems to get like that in the summer. Once fall hits, people are indoors more, more sports are on TV, more sim games are released, etc, etc.

WTF?

1) You know for sure that Jim is working a new game/version.

and

2) He does use beta testers, at least a few from FOFC.

You make it sound like either one would be surprising. You don't think that he's working on a new version and/or there are/would be beta testers?

I was refering to the possibility of a new game coming out in a month or so.

Skydog (or some one else) has removed the date from the "last time visted" in the members list.

#2 I won't argue. #1 I scoff at. We don't know for sure. Aren't most of you still playing FOF 2004? Did NCAA Football 2006 just come out? True there have been updates, but with Jim's "closed mouth" policy, nobody really knows for sure.

Jim usually announces a game about two weeks before release, so there is every chance we will see a game within the next month.

I think that TCY was released in July......

I'm not so much "upset" at his absence as I am a bit bewildered and concerned. It is unlike him to be absent for such a long period of time without notice. I do hope he's OK.

Not to interrupt, but I talked with Skydog online a few days ago and he's doing fine. He just has a spotty internet connection so he doesn't post unless something major goes on. So, keep in mind that he is still lurking from time to time
