that means they are about to move to another level in the prize money. It's to keep people from stalling. No new hands are dealt until all the current hands at all tables are finished

had to bow out of that hand. I had a pair of 9s, but there were two overcards on the table

ok, here's the sit-rep.

At the 3rd break, we are down to 7 people, and I'm in 2nd place chipwise.

When the break is over, the blinds are $15K/$30k, with a 1500 ante.

GG Cartman you really should have folded that last hand though since the other guys were already all in you had a great shot at moving into second place and up $400 in prize money. Other than that GG man

3rd place, not bad. $730 for a $10 buy in.

It all ended on one hand. I went all in with A5 suited, small blind went all in, and big blind called. BB has AKs, and got a flush, knocking me and the other guy out all at once.

the other guy got 2nd, because his chip count was higher at the start of the hand. All because he lucked out with his 42 call.

Well, that'll pay for the blinds I'm finally getting for my bedroom... They are builiding a house in the field out behind me, so I finally broke down and bought some. Before, all I had to worry about were deer and other wildlife spying on me.

I thought about that, but since I was going to be put all-in on the next hand because of the enormous blinds, I figured A5 suited was as good a hand as any to make a play with.

I thought you were the BB that hand and had like 10k left over to call with. I may have remebered it wrong if you werent the BB then it didnt really matter and you pusshing the last of your chips there was a good move.

I guess that means I have to work late tonight!

I think he WAS the big blind with about 13000 left. Small blind would have put him all-in on the next hand.

Actually, I voyeured one of your games briefly Sunday night (a LHE sit-n-go IIRC). I didn't say anything because I was busy losing money of my own at the time & realized very quickly that I'm not capable/ready to try to play two tables AND watch another one all at the same time.

In hindsight, I'd have probably been better off just watching you play, woulda been cheaper.
