I really wanted to play and couldn't figure out why I can't see the buttons. Then I remembered and checked the source . . . again, the buttons are flash. Huh? Why? Flash buttons?!?!? I have plug-ins disabled in my browser and haven't updated flash in ages. I had the same problem with the last version.

Oh, well. Guess no MM for me. Good luck to y'all with the game.

Oh man, we're in deep shit. We made $7 at one show... $7!!!

We're down to 8 dollars, and we only came up with 2 songs out of 21 days of militant practice.

The New Age did lotsa practicing. Also, they have (bravely in some cases) revealed themselves to the world through the wonder of photography. Check 'em out.

Somatic did some practice and rest last month, but did not come up with a new song yet. We have a tour this month in the Northeast 4/1 - 4/5 so hopefully that will get us some cash.

Vampires of Doom wrote their first song, called Intro. Only my keyboard player has an instrument, so i suppose it's a keyboard-only instrumental...

How do you make money in this game? I'm already short on cash!!!

How can you tour if you don't know any songs?

I think the explaination is if you don't have a full set list (or an empty one in my case), it's "replaced" with cover songs.

If I didn't let bands play shows right out of the gate, then my fear is that people would have too little to do initially and quit playing the game right off the bat.

OK, that's fine and makes sense. I just didn't know it, so i've had my band basically practicing the whole month...

The Blind Fish wrote 1 song, made $16 on a tour and rested for a few days.

Next month we have a couple more shows, a bit more practice and the band is resting by watching Song Writing 101 on PBS.

Shit. We've already been forced into an unrealistic tour of North America because we need the cash. Nothing like hitting the road with 3 songs.

I think part-time jobs should be an option for the band spends their time.

I've created FOFC: The Label. I made it "all genres" since we have a wide range. To join, just send me a Maven Mail with your FOFC name and I'll add you to the label. I'll try to check a couple of times tomorrow (today, whatever) but I'll be switching over to my new computer today so I might be a little slow today.

Anyone have an idea for the label photo?

Well, I was messing around with labels and disbanded "FOFC: The Label". When I tried to recreate it, it claimed to be successful but it didn't reappear (so likely the delete process doesn't quite work).

So now, the new label is called "FOFC Live!". Same great label, new, better taste. I even contributed a crisp, clean $1 bill to the label fund

I should probably make it more obvious when you apply to a label - right now you can see that info on the Band News page.

I'll try to get you guys added but I want to read up about how you give a contract to people (you can't just click "accept" or something, you have to offer a contract to someone). But every time I try to search the forum, it dies "page can't display" but I'll keep trying.

For now, I'll just offer the max 5 album/5 single contract to all of you with a whopping $0 help from the label

EDIT: I've offered 5/5/0 to about half but I was thinking that there might be a down side to being tied down so long so the rest of you will be 1/2/0 since that will keep you on the label a long time (gotta get 8 songs) and it'll give us more time to check out labels. If you got a 5/5/0 and are worried about that, just reject the contract and try to join again.

I think I'll make a little chart here in a couple of days (once people accept) with all the members of the label.

The following bands sent a message but didn't try to join the label so you have to do that before I can add you:
Jive Turkeys (Pumpy)
