Who needs parking lots when you can get to the park by boat? Not that it matters anymore (unless you're at a 49ers game), but the trick to getting out of Candlestick is to park by the fence, preferably near one of the exits to the access road, and as soon as the game is over, get to your as fast as possible. If you do that, you can be on the freeway in 10-15 minutes. I've never been stuck for much longer than that at Candlestick after I figured that out. |

Yes I have, through experience, figured out where you can and can't park at Candlestick. Now, I too am usually on the fwy in 15 minutes. My worst experience in a parking lot(sporting event as opposed to concert) was after a 49er Raider game at Stanford. I met some friends there, and the usual parking lot I used was full. I ended up parking in a "park" on campus with lots of other folks. Well I was stuck in that park 3 hours after the game ended. My friends were back home (Fresno) before I got out of the parking lot. THAT was brutal. |
