Delhomme is worthless. Cost the Panthers another one.

Well looks like Delhomme is going to have to pass to win the game.

Well, it was a great first half. Honestly until the final 4 minutes or so I think this is about as well as Carolina can play. Sucks about the last 4 minutes though.

I hate the playcall on third ond goal by the Giants. Playing for the FG and not the win,

Tennessee with a nice pick. Could be 2-0 with Vince Young as a starter this year.

I thought they should have gone for the TD too. They ran 30 more seconds off the clock, but with 1 TO, 2 minute warning and just over 2 minutes to play, that's plenty of time for SD to drive the field and get a TD. It would take a major fail on play calling for them to run out of time.

All thanks to you, our little good luck charm. I know you want to be proven right in not believing in the Saints weeks and weeks ago, but you really need to learn when to step away from the table when you are losing over and over again. Or better yet don't, I am always greedy for more wins. |

Don't get why Carolina didn't kick the FG from the 8 with 40 seconds left and chance it on the onside kick and getting a TD. Yes, I get it's easier to an onside kick and a FG, but you have a better shot of even getting the onside kick with a FG right away.

Oh Im not too worried about them. Im just hoping for a northern playoff game for them so they can get bitchslapped. The Saints have these magical runs and the big bad Vikings come to town and end the fairytale. Think 87 and 01 The fans sit around chanting "Who dem Vikings gonna beat those Saints, who dat" Gets annoying then they get shut up in a hurry once the game starts. They got to the 31 with over a minute left and then to the 20 with 50 seconds left. My thinking is that you kick it on one of those two plays. Once you start to run plays inside the 20 I think you're committed to go for the TD, though the fact that they ran the ball up the middle on one of those plays is just freaking infuriating. |

Stafford gives Sanchez a run for his money with his 5th INT today. That said, three of the picks were in some form or another miscommunication between Stafford and Calvin, who haven't played together in nearly a month. Still, saw some good, and of course, a lot of bad. Once those two get on the same page though things will look up.

absolutly inexcusable loss. Horrible penalties and terrible playcalling at the end.
Third and goal and Coughlin calls a draw that he knows won't result in a TD. Plays it safe for the FG to go up six. I knew right there the game was over. On what planet does he think the defense would be able to hold? |

Sigh. This is the Alex Smith that we all knew before he came back. Though he looked pretty good on that drive near the end of the first half, the rest of the game was pretty much atrocious.

I'm still trying to figure out how the QB sneak wasn't a first down. When you have a play like that, either the line stones them, or the QB gets the few inches he needs for the first down. Not only could you clearly see the line didn't stone them, it was very clear that McNabb slid over the pile and didn't lande until the tip of the Eagles wings. You could easily do a ball placement based off of the field marker. That was beyond a horrible call. Of course Andy loses his TO over it and the Cowboys get the ball in great field position. I'm stunned at not only how bad the call was, but how the announcers tripped over themselves to cover for the refs who made the horrible call. |

Atlanta coach goes Woody Hayes on Deangelo Hall today and no one says anything? WTF?
Hall is a douche and deserved an ass whipping but Smith should get in trouble too.

Some pretty bad end of game management right there by Reid, although he probably got screwed on both challenges. It looked like he made it, but you are also never going to get a spot on a QB sneak changed. There's just too many bodies in the way for irrefutable evidence. Although he might not of got out of the stadium alive if he hadn't challenged I think the smart play would have been to save the last time out.

DOLA - definitely would have gone for it on 4th near the end. One Dallas first down and the game is basically over, and if you don't get the first you are basically in the same position needing a stop anyway. FG just doesn't make a lot of sense right there IMO.

These Eagles sure do struggle putting up back to back good games dont they? Cowboys defense looked a lot better tonight. Still dont understand why they are limiting Barber so much but it appears the Cowboys are the team to beat in the NFC East.

From what I hear, the Cowboys are limiting Barber for a few reasons.
1. They like the other guys too. Choice had some real nice runs. Jones can hit some home runs. 2. His groin is still a little tweaked. Notice how he's not fighting through everything like he used to. 3. Related to 2, they like to use him as a battering ram in the 4th if possible, and really like to have him fresh.

Huh? I understand how you can say that he possibly got screwed on the second challenge, but on the first it was obvious that his own momentum took him behind the first down marker. No screw job there at all...

My Cards are driving me crazy this year-undefeated on the road after their abysmal road record of the past and then being blown out at home a couple times. Thank God they are in the NFC West. A win against Seattle this week could all but lock up the division with the way SF and STL are playing right now.

But Jeebs, by rule his forward progress aka, where he caught the ball, has nothing to do with his momentum. He got shafted nearly a yard on the first review. The second one was just a pure fuck job. Philly can't blame the loss on those calls though, they screwed themselves with too many plays for loss and people dropping very catchable passes. |

I didn't have a problem with the first call. They got it right. The second call? No, they didn't get "possibly" screwed. They got raped without lube. The call was missed on the field and on clear replay angles. I don't think it was bias for the Cowboys, I think it was yet another case of horrible reffing that is happening too much right now. (I still can't figure out how the refs couldn't see that the lines held firm and the QB moved forward. If that happens, the QB had to have gotten the two inches. The only way a QB sneak is stopped is if the defense pushes the offense back and the QB goes NOWHERE. That call was every bit as bad as the LSU/Bama call yesterday. Hey, wait a minutes, was this an SEC crew officiating this?) |

So you're saying that if a RB gets the ball and runs to the 40, but then cuts back to avoid a tackler and gets brought down at the 38 that the ball should be spotted at the 40? Forward progress has to do with a defender moving the ball carrier backwards, correct?
