WAtching the begining of the Virgina-Syracuse game, and I just want to say I'm not against women pbp announcers per-se, but I have yet to hear one that I can stand.

Vandy game about to kick off (Go Vandy!), but even with this team having a chance to have the best season for the team since 1948, the stadium is still half empty. Sad.

Yeah, i don't think Vany has enough "exclusive" (Vandy first) fans to fill up even their tiny stadium. I've been to several games there, and the opposing fans always out number the Vandy fans.

Why do Michigan and EMU even bother playing each other? Does it do any good for either team?

SMU just scored on a 67 yd td pass. 8-7 A&M as SMU misses the xp. Might play a factor later on.

I think the BC-FSU is similar to the Virgina - Florida State game of last season.

OU's QB just got HAMMERED and UCLA picked up the fumble and returned it 20 yds. for the TD.

So when did it stop becoming a "tipped pass" and start becoming a "tip drill"? Yeah, I get it. Teams run a type of practice called a tip drill to help them catch passes that are tipped. But that doesn't mean that you have to mention it EVERY TIME there's a tipped pass, and even moreso, you don't have to change what you call it!

OK, so I'm flipping back and forth between about 6 or 7 games now and I have one question to ask:
Why is it that the Pitt/Nebraska game reminds me a lot of the Pitt/Ohio game? Christ, even with a couple of down years of recruiting, Nebraska shouldn't be this bad. Their offense is just horrible. Pitt is going to beat them today. |

Marcus went 12 for 16 for 200 yards and 2 TD...rushed for ~40 yards and another score. That's two shutouts in a row for the defense. |

Bad snap. The kicker throws it. Game over? No. Incomplete pass, but it wasn't 4th down. 1 second left. One more try.

It seems that defenses have really adapted to the rule changes regarding the kicking game. Leaping over the pile was common practice until the past few years. It seems to me we have more blocks right now up the middle from the defense just pushing the blockers back than anything.
It's very impressive, to say the least.

Well, OU lost pretty handily to UCLA. But the funny thing is that I feel much better about them after that game than I did before. Cut out the stupid mistakes, and that's a completely different game. Bomar showed that OU can actually have a passing game this year.

I felt the same way. There season looks much better. They made a ton of mental mistakes, and those add up over time though. Bomar did look much improved, and much more composed in the backfield. His main problem is holding on to the ball it seems. Defense needs the most work I think. UCLA was killing them with short routes and plays designed to work underneath the defense. I was pretty impressed though. going into the game I figured OU would be blown out of the water, but they managed to give UCLA a good run.
