Time for the good stuff.....

hxxp://www.tmz.com/2006/07/28/gibsons-anti-semitic-tirade-alleged-cover-up/

Quote:
The actor began swearing uncontrollably. Gibson repeatedly said, "My life is f****d." Law enforcement sources say the deputy, worried that Gibson might become violent, told the actor that he was supposed to cuff him but would not, as long as Gibson cooperated. As the two stood next to the hood of the patrol car, the deputy asked Gibson to get inside. Deputy Mee then walked over to the passenger door and opened it. The report says Gibson then said, "I'm not going to get in your car," and bolted to his car. The deputy quickly subdued Gibson, cuffed him and put him inside the patrol car.

TMZ has learned that Deputy Mee audiotaped the entire exchange between himself and Gibson, from the time of the traffic stop to the time Gibson was put in the patrol car, and that the tape fully corroborates the written report.

Once inside the car, a source directly connected with the case says Gibson began banging himself against the seat. The report says Gibson told the deputy, "You mother f****r. I'm going to f*** you." The report also says "Gibson almost continually [sic] threatened me saying he 'owns Malibu' and will spend all of his money to 'get even' with me."

The report says Gibson then launched into a barrage of anti-Semitic statements: "F*****g Jews... The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world." Gibson then asked the deputy, "Are you a Jew?"

The deputy became alarmed as Gibson's tirade escalated, and called ahead for a sergeant to meet them when they arrived at the station. When they arrived, a sergeant began videotaping Gibson, who noticed the camera and then said, "What the f*** do you think you're doing?"

A law enforcement source says Gibson then noticed another female sergeant and yelled, "What do you think you're looking at, sugar tits?"

We're told Gibson took two blood alcohol tests, which were videotaped, and continued saying how "f****d" he was and how he was going to "f***" Deputy Mee.

Gibson was put in a cell with handcuffs on. He said he needed to urinate, and after a few minutes tried manipulating his hands to unzip his pants. Sources say Deputy Mee thought Gibson was going to urinate on the floor of the booking cell and asked someone to take Gibson to the bathroom.

After leaving the bathroom, Gibson then demanded to make a phone call. He was taken to a pay phone and, when he didn't get a dial tone, we're told Gibson threw the receiver against the phone. Deputy Mee then warned Gibson that if he damaged the phone he could be charged with felony vandalism. We're told Gibson was then asked, and refused, to sign the necessary paperwork and was thrown in a detox cell.

C'mon now, that's not anti-semitism, that's legitimate criticism of the state of Israel.

Actually, I wouldn't have posted it but I liked the 'sugar-tits' line so much I had to.

So, it sounds like Matt and Trey weren't that far off with their depiction of Mel in the South Park episode of "The Passion of the Jew"...

This is just getting more and more bizarre ... you always knew Mel was f-ed up in the head because he's gone on some of these rants before, but dear lord -- this guy is just a worthless bag of puke.

Well, this isn't from TSG, but this is supposedly the arresting report. It's handwritten, and kinda hard to read.

Good start, but we, the public, really need that audiotape. This has the potential to outdo the Casey Kasem "ponderous" as an all-time classic.

I would hazard a guess that Mel's asshattery won't end his career. America is a very, very forgiving place. Well..maybe more forgetful that forgiving.

We'll see. Mel didn't leave himself any wiggle room. He basically exposes himself as the worst kind of anti-Semite, blaming the Jews for 'all the wars...'???!!!

One of Mel's biggest problems now is that he was a darling of the right, such as myself, who will now drop him like a steaming hot cowchip.

Israeli former PM Benjamin Netinyahou (and I know this isn't right but too lazy to look it up right now) correctly identified Israel's biggest supporters and friends as the U.S. evangelical Christians. Pat Robertson told Michael Eisner on national TV that he, Robertson, has the 'Star of David" stitched inside his underwear. These folks also supported and defended Mel during the whole Passion contraversy.

Not saying Mel's already completed movie coming out in Dec will not do well. Not sure if he gets any breaks afterwards though.

This is clearly a career killer, if there's any justice.

But considering he hasn't really been doing much recently, maybe a bigger question is how does this affect the way Passion of the Christ is viewed? If we know the creator really was a raving anti-Semite, can you movie still be considered a classic?

You do realize that he makes and funds his own movies, right? He's not dependant on a studio to make his films, so the only way he won't get a break is if he doesn't give himself one.

Also, if Roman Polanski is still able to make movies, there is no way that this would be a career killer for Mel.

I think it will absolutely affect the way the film is viewed from historical standards. I think that 25-50 years from now there won't be any mention of the film that doesn't include a reference to Gibson's alleged anti-semitism. I think it also lends a huge credence to criticism from the Jewish community that the film had some ant-semitic bias.

I think the American public can generally be forgiving. I don't think this will end his career, just his big paydays. Certainly Roman Polanski and Woody Allen are apt comparisons. Both still thrive in their niche. Mel's problem is that he isn't exactly a niche performer -- he's thrived on mainstream successes, which I think will be harder to do now. I don't think anybody in Hollywood will be ready for a while to bank a $100 million production around Mel.

Of course, what he has going for him that Polanski and Allen haven't done is the option to recant. Step one is checking himself into rehab. Step two is making the rounds on Leno and Oprah, opening up his heart, talking about his demons, taking back everything he said and making everyone feel sorry for him. Next he does a Ron Howard Historical Drama for a reduced rate to take a turn for an Oscar. He does that, he can be ready to make Lethal Weapon 5 if Danny Glover can stand the sight of him.

The amazing thing here is that his blood alchohol level was just .12. That's above the legal limit, but it's not THAT drunk. The fact that this guy busted into the jew bashing after drinking approximately a six-pack is pretty distrurbing.

Now that I think about this, I'm almost positive that there are more than enough people in America who don't think Mel Gibson said anything outrageous at all.

The guy is an alcoholic however. There is a difference between the average Joe being .12 and an alcoholic being .12. I've seen it with my own eyes.

Oh, drugs. I doubt many people would be too worried about that. I'm sure 90% of the big names in Hollywood are coked out of their minds on a regular basis.
