My old school didn't have it. Then I got here and so I was on there because I know lots of random people that I've lost touch with or just haven't talked to in years. Easier than any of the other sites, because everyone is there.

It'd be better if you could have groups across schools, but then it'd be nuts. I think people like that it's generally private, compared to other sites where you can't really be anonymous if you choose to.

Then my old school got it, so it was like "more people". I dunno..it is addictive, but like most of these things, it'll run its course eventually.

Hopefully sooner than later

What's funny is, she's a Tri-Delt. We didn't have Tri-Delts at Monmouth, so I knew nothing of them or what their rep is.

But here, they're the only sorority girls worth looking at, as pretty much all of them look like that. Ok, not all of them. But..the great majority does. It's like they have a committee that weeds them out or something.

Whatever they're feeding them, the shit works.

Thanks...I look through the FAQ thread, but didn't see anything. Site is alittle confusing. Does it remove you completely then from the site completely? Will it "kick back in" if try to log back in?

Buddy of mine wrote this-

Ahhh Facebook, the best way to flirt over the internet…kidding. You can see whose taking the same classes as you or who enjoys the movie Napoleon Dynamite. Maybe even meet up with the one person that likes Dave Matthews. Regardless, it’s the best way to keep in touch with the incoming freshman, you know?? Yeah..the kid that wants to add you because you went to the same high school. STOP DOING THAT!!! You were in 8th grade when I was a senior! Anyway, Facebook gives us something to do when we have nothing to do, and I’m not gonna lie, I check it all the time, along with 99% of the college population. But while you’re waiting to refresh your messages, you have a little extra time. Just fartin around, looking at everyone’s interests, favorite books, or even those silly quotes. “Live life for the moment and always follow the flower patch that leads us to the end of your heart, keeping us from ever losing touch with inner peace, spring break 05 was killer!” You know who you are! And last but not least, good ol’ pictures. It started out you could only post one picture of yourself, now it has evolved into a cheap tabloid you see at the Meijer checkout line. I mean it’s getting out of control. The other day I was walking my dog and I heard a ruffle in the bushes, didn’t think anything of it. Next thing you know there’s a picture “tagged” by Tom Roberts saying “Bryan stealing a dog” What the hell!?!?! Do I even know you? You better believe I’m coming to your econ 205 class to kick a little ass… What I’m getting at here is that maybe Facebook is making everyone a little more honest..or cautious. If you tell your girlfriend you’re gonna be at home studying all night, and then to her surprise she sees a picture of you playing beer pong…naked. Ohh and the girl next to you is too, there’s no way out! Thanks to Tammy “takes a lot” of fucking pictures, you’re in deep shit. With each day more photos start to surface and now Facebook isn’t that fun is it??
I know I know “pictures are memories that we’ll always have” But honestly do I really want to remember the time I passed out, pissed myself, and then someone duct taped me to the big red sculpture in the middle of campus? NO!! But thanks to Tammy its now tagged on my profile…..son of a.. This could get bad if it doesn’t settle down guys. Everyone will turn into perfect little angels at parties for the fear of being “tagged”. That means no more topless keg stands, white shirt water fights in the kitchen, strip beer pong, or even making out with a random person. It’s all gonna go down hill if we don’t do something about this!

Quizzes, bah, just wait until you get the 18206208 application invites to wade through

I will say though, it's an absolutely fantastic tool for organizing a team. From a centralized forum style to events for games/practices, definitely what I've found I'm using it for the most.

Jeremy Eckberg and all that...

When you first added me on there- I got the email on my phone, and was really confused who this Eckberg guy was- Always thought it was Jeremy JeeberD

I'm on there, I like it much more than the myspace- all my friends are on there so it is great- for getting the word out about little stuff it is much easier than calling everyone- like I have a big NFL draft party every year and cook a big ole pot of red beans & rice so I just sent out a party invite on there instead of calling 30+ people and having to explain everything to everyone...

Oh yeah, I'm Doug Daniel at UL Lafayette

Grr...scrabulous is getting blocked at work. Chess, too. Damn -- scrabulous is pretty much the reaon I joined Facebook in the first place! They worked fine yesterday. This, combined with the fact that I sent a friend request to my mom when I added all my gmail contacts (who'd have thought my mom would be on facebook before me?), is really killing my facebook buzz.

Not sure if that's you who created it, but there is a FOFC group on there.

And so far that makes me member #2

Just the person who created it (not sure if it'd be cool or not to list the name here?). But if you search FOFC in the general search, should only get 3 hits, and only 1 (and it's obvious which) relates to the board.

General question: do you get a lot of friend requests from people you don't know? Do you request a lot of people that you don't know?

I'm not saying this to try to sound like I have people flocking to be friends with me or that I'm too good for the practice, but out of all my friends on Facebook, I believe 4 were because of requests I've sent. One was my brother, one was a girl I grew up with but moved away, and two were girls I was trying to bang (failure on one, close on the other). Just a personal preference I guess.
