Why NC State has stuck with Mitchell mystifies me. The freshman -- given an adequate playbook & reps -- has to be a better chance to win.

And it's now 21-0 Bama with a minute left in Q1

Duke Johnson is awesome. However, Miami is gonna have to play much better against FSU.

I've seen a lot of things in football threads, can't say I ever expected that particular sentence to appear.

Then again, I bet you wouldn't have bet on it either

Glad to see Tenn enjoy last week's win. I went to the local game store for game day. That should give you an idea how worried I was about the game.

I forgot to add, if 'Bama and Oregon remain undefeated, I might have to start praying for whoever gets FSU. Oregon's SOS will win out and put them into the title game.

I wasn't a huge Flood fan to begin with. He's a worse game day coach than Schiano, which is impressive. If Nova's out there next week, Flood should be shown the door.

16-14 Nevada at the half. UNLV missed a tough 48 year old FG as time expired. Evidently were up 14-13, but I missed the whole second quarter because I held Saturday office hours for students struggling with the paper that's due next week.

They should have kept an eye on the expiration date. I turned in my paperwork early and ended up nailing an experienced 55 year old fantasy granny. A tough 48 year old sounds like fun, too. Probably into CBT and shit.

At the Furman game. LSU might finally be waking up, but damn if the first half wasn't fun. And we totally had a TD at the end of the first half that was called back on a phantom offside.

Incredible forced fumble and recovery by UNLV and we *finally* complete a drive in the second half to go up 21-16 over Nevada. I'm just hoping like hell we can pull this off.

Texas-TCU are in a weather hold due to lightning in the area with 6 minutes left in the 1st half, and Texas up 17-7.

Thought Coastal Carolina might have a bit of a struggle against VMI with their starting QB out for the game, but looks like the defense didn't come through in the first half. Coastal led 30-24 at the half and then finally the defense shut VMI down, allowing just 3 points in the second half. The offense however continued to click and CCU rolled to a 66-27 win. I think the 66 points might be a school record.

Missouri fans can pretty much make plans for the Georgia Dome. Only a colossal dive by them would keep them out of the SEC title game at this point.

UNLV WINS!!! OMG OMG OMG WE WON THE FREMONT CANNON!!!!

First time we've won the Cannon in like 8 or 9 years... Nevada's won it 8 straight times prior to today.

And we're now one win away from bowl eligibility. Holy crap!

UCLA is the first team to force Oregon to keep it's starters in until it's final drive.

So LSU continued passing and running plays after they got the ball with under 2 minutes left. I don't mind getting beat, but at least have some class while doing it.

The game isn't over yet, but this is already the most points Penn State has given up since 1899.
