Packer defense yielding yards and points to the KC offense. Not a good sign. Down 22-16. Blah, ugly game.

It's a good day when you have both Drew Brees and Lee Evans on your Fantasy Team. All I'd need is Adrian Peterson and I'd have the top guys so far.

Every week the Packers almost give me a heart attack, and yet they pull it out every week except the one so far. This has definately been a memorable season.

So the Packers escape with another win and are now 7-1. You can say they don't deserve it all you want, but they just went into Invesco and Arrowhead and won. The Packers played on Monday night and the Chiefs were coming off a bye so they passed a critical early test. Now they go home for Minnesota which might be tough and Carolina who sucks with David Carr at QB. The real test for the Packers will come in a couple weeks when they travel to Detroit on Thanksgiving and then go to Dallas the very next week. Those games will be critical in deciding the top 2 seeds and home field. It'll be nice to see the Packers-Lions game on Thanksgiving actually mean something this year! I can't wait!

I said this to y wife earlier when I flipped over to the Lions game and saw they were up 30-0.

Of course I would refer the game didn't mean as much because he Lions were 2-3 games behind the Packers, but oh well. Fox will love the ratings I am sure.

On to the game of the year, Pats @ Colts. I wonder what the score will be when I finally get to see some of it late in the third quarter? Stupid Vikes-Chargers.

Dola- nevermind, they actually just cut to it. Wow, I am surprised Fox did that. That goes against normal policy doesn't it?

Are lots of people saying they don't deserve to be 7-1? Favre is old and I'm surprised they are as good as they are, but I don't remember seeing a lot of people calling them a fluke!

I still think Dallas is better and have no idea what to make of the Giants, but the Pack are certainly helping to make the NFC interesting.

Some people I work with say they always get lucky and shouldn't have won the Philly game, Washington game, Denver, Minnesota. I don't think that's the case. They had twice as many yards as the Chiefs did today and they certainly threw the Bears game away in the 2nd half. We'll see who is better in a few weeks! The Packers already beat the Giants and who have the Giants beat in the last 4 weeks? Arguably 4 of the 5 worst teams in the NFL? Yes!

Cringer, I'd like to see Detroit another game back too so hopefully they falter next week at Arizona or against the Giants before Thanksgiving, but the Lions are always 2-8 by then so it's a nice change of pace.

.

They were calling them a fluke, or something along those lines. But that was several weeks ago, then it changed over to "the surprising Packers" and how good they have been and blah, blah, blah.

Sometimes fans and players hang onto the no respect thing a little too long. When they make it up is the worst though.

Interestingly enough, they were Pro Football Prospectus' pick to win the Central this year.

I'm a bears fan. I thought it was crazy then, but I have a new respect for the guys at football outsiders.

The Giants are my new 2nd favorite team for a couple of weeks then.

Yep, Jamal Lewis ran for 295 in '03 so he beat him by 1.

Peterson is the best running back I've ever seen. The best way I can describe his running style is 'violent'. I hope he can stay healthy, but I don't know how long his style will last.

I think I heard one guy pick them to win the NFC Central on NFL Radio this year, even I thought it was crazy. NFL Radio has 500 guys all contected to the NFL in some way (past or present) and nobody thought Green Bay or Detroit would be anywhere close to where they are now. I understand that too, I had my fingers crossed for a 9-7 record.

Bellicheck is just lulling them into a sense of security.

Wow. great play by the Pats defender to save 4 points.

edit: You have to admit that the Colts are smacking the Pats around early.

For a team that prides themselves on stopping the run, 296 yards by 1 player is just humiliating... ugh, the Chargers SUCK, I'm so ticked.

Is it possible to fumble in the endzone? If the Colt had possesion(which you would have to have for it to be a fumble), then is it not a TD before he would even fumble the ball? I don't understand the talk about the Pats not challenging if it was a fumble or not....
