Well... New Hampshire is in the finals. Can't wait to see the game tonight (6 pm ESPN2) and see who the opponent is.

Go Cats!

Congrats Castlerock! Hopefully the Gophers can win tonight and then we can see a allout up and down the ice spectacle on Saturday!

Too bad they are playing on the NHL-sized ice in Buffalo. And not at UNH or UM on their Olympic sheets.

Good luck tonight, Cards

Yeah, Olympic Ice! Oh well, at least both teams will be at the disadvantage(if it's UNH-Min).

Is Ayers alright, I saw that he was shaken up during the game, and will Gare play tomorrow? I hope so, I want both teams to be full strength so we can see the best game possible.

Gophers win in OT!!!!!!!!

After falling behind 2-0, Minnesota fights back to tie it up and in OT Vanek scores the game winner!

Should be a helluva skating exhibition on Saturday between UNH and Minnesota, game starts at 7 eastern on ESPN.

Minnesota has a chance to be the first team to go back to back since BU in the early 70's, and UNH has a chance to win their first ever NCAA Hockey Championship.

Good game last night. One to go. For all the marbles.

My prediction is a New Hampshire win for Durham's first ever Ice Hockey National Championship. What do you think?

Should be a great game with 2 very talented teams. It really could go either way.

Well, being I'm a Gopher fan, I have to pick the Gophers!

In one game playoff, anything can happen, I'm proud of my team no matter what happens on Saturday, they've given me a season of great and exciting hockey.

If UNH wins, I'll be on Sunday to congratulate you without excuses, that is one thing you can count on!

Either way, one team is going to make history, UNH with their first title, or Minnesota with the first back to back since 1972.

Not me. If Minnesota wins, I'll be here complaining that Minnesota cheated. Just kidding.

Win or lose, this has been a great season.

Ack! This board has enough of that kind of stuff, please keep the NCAA hockey thread clean!

So, being from that area, do you understand Bob Norton better than me?! hehehe

He's kind of like the Al Mcguire of College Hockey, now if we could just get Thorne to do the play by play.

Bob Norton does have a bit of an accent, doesn't he? He's been calling UNH hockey games for years.

when was the last time that the finals didn't go into overtime? It seems like every year the game does.

Welcome to Riotville. You would hope the students had learned from last year. Hopefully the police are downtown smacking kids around. I'm sure we'll hear complaints about police brutality tonight, but I think some well placed nightsticks are in order.

BACK TO BACK!!!!!!

GOPHERS WIN! 5-1

Castlerock, congrats to UNH for a great season, if they had been playing anybody but the Gophers, I would have been cheering for them.

About the people rioting, those people aren't fans, they are morons that have absolutely nothing to do with the hockey team.

To anyone interested, checkout the front page of the Gopher site.

Actually it was worse last year, the cops were a little more prepared this year.

Onto a brighter note!

Went down to the local U store to buy some championship gear today, and all the players were sitting outside a local establishment, and got to see the Trophy and congratulate them on a great season! Potulny even put the trophy on the ground to try to get my daughter(4yo) to come over and hold it, she got shy though. Very classy and gracious guys, they represent Minnesota well!

Who looks good for next year already? I know, it's early. But I assuming Minnesota, with its youth and talent, are the favorites already. Any suprise teams, like a Cornell?

The Gophers will be a preseason #1. It's hard for me to tell who will be tough out east, because I'm simply not familiar with the eastern recruits. In the WCHA, Minnesota, UND, SCSU, UMD and Mankato will probably be the teams to beat.

Minnesota is losing one senior, and maybe Vanek if the NHL team that drafts him ponying up the big cash, so, they will be difficult to beat during the season.
