You made fun of Marmel's uneventful life and then only list 1 thing you have actually done. Weak.

Even though I can't imagine its true, I don't remember bucc ever talking about traveling overseas (and he's talked about a lot of domestic travel), so I'm going to pick #2.

(somebody please jump in if I'm right, I might not be back to check this forum until tomorrow)

The only one left is #1, so that's my guess.

(Thought I'd keep the thread from slipping)

1 - While in college, I went to see Hole play at the campus ballroom. During the course of the concert, Courtney Love decides to stage dive and in the process, someone rips the front of her dress. Pissed, she makes her way to the front of the stage (a few feet from me), grabs security and tries to find who did it. When the guy asks me if I was the one, I politely reply "I would never disrespect someone like that". Courtney hears this, gives me a kiss and says "You're so sweet".

2 - Once upon a time, I asked my girlfriend of only 6 weeks to marry me...9 years and two kids later, it doesn't seem like a rash decision.

3 - During my sophmore year of high school, our football team advanced to the Virginia state championship game (I was a TE/LB) and faced a top team from the eastern part of the state. In that game, I tied the record for most interceptions in the title game (2) and both came against one of the top QB's in the state...a guy by the name of Allen Iverson.

4 - In high school, I was a National Merit Scholar and scored perfect on my SAT's...a few days after the local newspaper made a big deal about it with a front page story, I received a letter in the mail from Virginia Tech. The envelope contains a clipping of the article along with a personal letter from the President of the university asking me to attend VT, even though I hadn't applied yet.

5 - I have experience in being a engineer. No, not a civil, chemical or computer engineer...the kind that drives trains.

You got it (albeit for a wrong reason).

My older brother is the one who tied the record for INT's...and it was against Southampton's Percy Ellsworth (DB for the Giants/Browns). I don't think I made it off the bench for that game. In regards to Iverson, however, he quarterbacked perennial power Hampton to two state championships right after I graduated high school. In both years, he was named state player of the year over future Pro Bowler Aaron Brooks.

#3: I played one official interscholastic tennis match (for rankings) in my 3 year high school tennis career

#4 :I was in the stands for Carl Yastremski's final game at Fenway Park.

#5: I served as the voice of the Franklin High School Panthers (PA and radio) for 6 years.

Shorty: Actually, JeeberD is right. I worked for the Highschool after graduation, through college, and beyond for a couple more years.

And yes, I did have to go to the hospital due to a caffine overdose (combined with lack of sleep)

Sadly, I wasn't in Fenway Park the day Yaz hung up the #8

That is the one that I always use for games like this. Same thing happened to me back in I was in the Air Force.

I'll give this a shot. It was great reading.

1. I blocked five kicks playing football my senior year.

2. I joined the Navy after being kicked out of two other services.

3. I was knocked out of two school spelling bees with the word "parallel".

4. I decided I wanted to coach football before I actually even played organized football. I tried out my junior year in high school after making the decision so I could see how they coach it.

5. I was named all conference shortstop my junior year in high school, but quit to concentrate on football.

It has gotta be #3.

Who enters spelling bees anyway? and then loses on the same word, twice? Impossible!

Tell me about it. Two r's or two l's? DANG IT!!! I studied so much the next year and was very confident. That word comes up again and I sit in front of the microphone dumbfounded. Was there two r's or two l's? Two l's. No, two r's. Needless to say, I went with two r's both times.

Wahoo I'm a winner

Here is my list

When I was in the Airforce I was a crew chief for F-16 fighters. My plane (each plane has 2-3 crew chiefs) crashed killing the pilot. To the best of my knowledge, no cause was ever found.

I have had affairs with 3 different married women.

I was in the movie Anna and the King staring Jodie Foster and Chow Yun Fat. I even had lunch one of the days with Jodie.

I knowingly married a woman who had a type of herpes.

I frequently watch Oprah.

Marmel is correct.

Do any of you really think that our board's missionary would have had 1 affair, much less 3? And if he had would he admit it?

The others are all true

I'll go again. I'm game, this if fun.

1. As part of my contract to join the Navy, I was sworn in on the field at Busch Stadium.

2. My dad played minor league baseball for the St. Louis Cardinals.

3. I attended a World Series game between the Cardinals and Brewers, but can't remember a single thing about it.

4. I was accidentally left behind at the Memphis Zoo during my third grade field trip.

5. I received a letter from Phil Fulmer about attending the University of Tennessee.
