From what rev says it sounds like you guys should be skipping the first round prospects altogether and starting with the second round guys!
Or perhaps the prophecy cannot be avoided and these former 2nd rounders-now 1st rounders will all bust as well and no breakouts will be found. Ouch, now my head hurts...

The first round is simply a higher stakes ballgame. Higher risk of losing out to a bust, but higher gain as well for those that don't. And the good news is that first round busts usually come into camp as a C or C+. They're not a total waste. The second and third round players are mostly B and C+ guys. A few will surprise and become A players, but those that bust...are out of the league. Most fourth rounders will be out of the league (except in cases of teams with severe holes) shortly, but then a very few will hang on to become B level players. The trend I'm seeing through the drafts is that in the first round, if you're guy doesn't bust, he will be a star. In the second, only the breakouts or those surrounded with great players will be stars. In the third, you find your role players and hole-fillers. And so forth. At least, that's in a good, deep draft like this year.

Hey now! That's like the third player named after me in this round alone. I'm beginning to think you guys don't like my commentary. I'll just be quiet now and crawl in a hole. Shhhh. No more talking, rev. Just let the boys have their fun. They don't want ZFL daddy around anymore. Sniff. Sniff. Never mind me! I'll just be over here in the corner. Won't say a word. Nope. Hey! Did you hear that noise? Wasn't me, though. Oh, no. I'm as silent as the grave. Nothin' comin' out of my pie-hole. BTW...love the name, sachmo! Creative. Can I just call him "Alice"?

Y'know what I just noticed? The expansion clubs have not only gone after the top talent on the board, they've also gone for young talent.
CN selected a 22 and a 21-year old. EP a pair of 20-year-olds! Hmmmm. This could mean trouble for the rest of the league long-range. Especially if these picks don't bust.

Hmmm...maybe I should do some research and find the names of some ZFL busts. I could then use them as future draft picks.
Something to think about...

Hey tuck, is this the unnamed draft? It makes things a bit trickier for me if you don't name the guy when you draft him...
As for Marmel's picks while he's gone...y'all trust Kiper to pick for him? I can pick blind to busts and breakouts and take best talent available for him. Prefer not to have to do that, but hey, if he's gone, he's gone.

The Rednecks select OT V, or Lucius Jackson. I'd also be interested in moving up to early in the third round or even late in the second round. Anyone interested? Robbie Action Jackson is still available. |

My 3rd and 4th round picks (both 7th in the round) are on the trading block. Looking to either move up in the 3rd or trade for a DT or DE. PM me what you have.

Given the screw up, let's review:
after Little Rock trades to AQ, AQ takes DE i - Disco Stu NOW, Fargo needs to jump in, so they select DE j - Krusher Portland then takes a step back and selects DE k - Herman the Hamster Birmingham is still free to take DT c - Yet Another No Name Milwaukee still gets QB a - Dan Marino Jr. Knoxville should be free to take OT v - Lucius Jackson Then, SA would be on the clock. Here's what we need: Afoci and Coffee - Both of you chime in and let us know the DE j/k switch is OK with both of you. THEN, sachmo, you're free to pick. Thanks for holding on while we get this straightened.

The ZFL is mirroring the NFL, though I can't imagine The Afoci wants to be compared with the Minnesota Vikings' draft team.
