I just invented a "Tour de France" dice game:

1) Take one standard, six-sided die

2) Trace around one side of the die six times.

3) Cut the six litle pieces of paper out.

4) glue the little pieces of paper to the six sides of the die

5) Write "Lance Armstrong" on each side

6) Roll the die

Whichever name comes up is the winner of the "Tour de France."

2. All riders have been affected by the morons at the sides, but Armstrong was by far not the biggest 'victim'.
3. I've watched most of the live coverage and the only thing I've seen or heard about being thrown to Lance specifially was water as there are people on te sides who think all riders like that.
4. Why on earth do you need to stir up the ongoing lame and non-sesne America-France political sentiments over a sports event?

I do agree that these morons have to be kept away from the riders.

Calm down there soccer-boy!!! Where exactly did I say that the French fans were morons? I said THE FANS, a general statement about the many idiots who line that race. All that I pointed out is how different the reaction would be over there is the event was over here and the fans acted like that.

Karpets got sick in the second week (like about 60 others) and lost some serious time in that week.

I have calmed down... now.
Still, I doubt the reaction would be different elsewhere around the world. It's the charm of the sport to have the 'fans' so close to the riders. I haven't seen or heard of peronal attacks towards Armstrong and only remember two incidents where the morons really had an effect on the race. One was were some jerk ran in front of a motor-with-camera and all of a sudden slowed down so te motor would collide. The other was were some **** (I have no word for it) decided to smash something in Andrey Kashechkin's face.

Wait a sec, did you call me soccer-boy there? I feel insulted!
