Hey K0rputr, you a 'Bow Warrior fan? I see that the game tonight is on ESPN Gameplan.. Huge one tonight, basically an elimination game in the WAC for both UH and Nevada.

Wondering if the feed Gameplan will be picking up is from the local UH Sports Network. I love the voice of the gentleman who does the play by play for UH. Great accent.

Late night football (at least in the continental US) is great.

I know this is a long way off, but for the sake of discussion..

What if, LSU, Auburn and Arkansas all end up with 1 SEC Loss (LSU would therefore beat Arkansas at the end of season).. What would the tiebreaker be for the SEC West Rep?

Well now that Auburn lost, let's bring this back:

"I've about had it with this playoff deal," Tuberville said after a lengthy, emotional argument for a playoff. "We all understand in our conference how tough it is. In our conference, that's about the only chance we'd have to make it."

Doesn't help when you don't win all your games.

A. TWO-TEAM TIE
  1. Head-to-head competition between the two tied teams.
  2. Records of the tied teams within the division.
  3. Head-to-head competition vs. the team within the division with the best overall record (divisional and non-divisional) Conference record and proceeding through the division. Multiple ties within the division will be broken from first to last.
  4. Overall record vs. all common non-divisional opponents.
  5. Combined record vs. all common non-divisional teams.
  6. Record vs. common non-divisional team with the best overall Conference (divisional and non-divisional) record and proceeding through other common non-divisional teams based on their order of finish within their division.
  7. The tied team with the highest ranking in the Bowl Championship Series Standings following the last weekend of regular-season games shall be the divisional representative in the SEC Championship Game.

B. THREE (OR MORE) TEAM TIE
  1. (Once the tie has been reduced to two teams, go to the two-team tie-breaker format.)
  2. Combined head-to-head record among the tied teams.
  3. Record of the tied teams within the division.
  4. Head-to-head competition vs. the team within the division with the best overall (divisional and non-divisional) Conference record and proceeding through the division. Multiple ties within the division will be broken from first to last.
  5. Overall record vs. non-division teams.
  6. Combined record vs. all common non-divisional teams.
  7. Record vs. common non-divisional team with the best overall Conference (divisional and non-divisional) record and proceeding through other common non-divisional teams based on their order of finish within their division.
  8. The tied team with the highest ranking in the Bowl Championship Series Standings following the last weekend of regular-season games shall be the divisional representative in the SEC Championship Game, unless the second of the tied teams is ranked within five-or-fewer places of the highest ranked tied team. In this case, the head-to-head results of the top two ranked tied teams shall determine the representative in the SEC Championship Game.

WVU takes an early 14-0 lead at Mississippi State.

Offensive is looking sharp and the defense has been putting a lot of pressure on the MSU quarterback, but the Mountaineers have already given up 47 yards in penalties.

Anyone else watching Minn/PSU? That Minnesota receiver pushed off like hell on the TD and there was no call.

Did you see how bad they played versus USC? Auburn was a bit over-rated. They looked bad against a bad Gamecock team, and then get killed by a mediocre Razorback team.

I will say this.. The SEC is a ddeeeeeeeeeeeeeepppppppp conference. The Top 8 are tough as nails, with UK, Vandy, Ole Miss and MSU bringing up the bottom third.

To go unbeaten through this league and then win a Conference Title Game is definitely saying something.

And I'm not a $EC fan.

They did get blown out by USC, but Mustain wasn't the starting QB then. They have won 4 straight since then (yes, including close ones against Vandy and Alabama), but the team is gaining confidence. They could win that SEC West this year.

Think GD was referring to Auburn playing South Carolina (the other USC).

Arkansas's winning streak has nothing to do with Mustain. They had a huge win today and Mustain's line? 7 for 10 for 87 yards and a TD. Mistake free ball, no doubt. But let's give credit where credit is due, the Arkansas running game is the only offense and the defense is playing fantastic.

Yeah, Mustain played pretty poorly today, imo. He does look to be a pretty good prospect.

How is 7-10 for 87 yards and a TD "[playing] pretty poorly" exactly?

Did you see the game? With just slightly different luck, he goes 2-10 for 6 yards with 2 ints. He was clearly the 2nd best qb on the field.

That wasn't what I was trying to say. I'm just saying that to attribute their run on Mustain's play is overlooking what's really happening. He's doing what they need him to do. Complete short passes, keep possession of the ball and let the running game do it's job.

Mustain also had 2 fumbles, both recovered by Arkansas. He tried his best to lose the game.

As for the Southern Cal-Arkansas game, Arkansas kept it close early on, but without McFadden they had no running game, thus no offense, and the defense got worn down and then they got blown out.

Agreed that Auburn and Georgia are overrated, don't think LSU is.

Can Tebow Pass? The throws I've seen him make have looked very uncomfortable and without much touch whatsoever.

At some point he's going to have to do more then run. If Leak got hurt at some point this season and missed some time, would UF become one dimensional?

Well, yeah. He doesn't mess things up too much, which is rare in a freshman QB. That gives a team a chance to win. And when called on to do so can make a pass.
