Ah, so we are reversing the pick order each round? I guess I missed that in the other thread.

With my first pick I will go with one that is still a mystery (some think they have figured it out though)

Great pick with Tyson. He was my next if still available. Thought him and OJ were the top of the Athletes heap.

My first round analysis (hopefully it doesn't make Schmidty spontaneously combust ):
1.1 - st. cronin - Lizzy Borden [Murderers] Surprise pick to kick it off. A first rounder in my opinion, but we'll have to see if she's worth the first overall pick. 1.2 - Schmidty - Jack the Ripper [Murderers] Would have been my consensus #1. We'll have to see if Schmidty can build on this pick. 1.3 - Cartman - Jeffery Dahmer [Murderers] Definitely a top 3 pick. Cannibalism is always a nice bonus when picking up a Murderer. 1.4 - Oliegirl - Lee Harvey Oswald [Murderers] Great name recognition, but will lack of volume on his resume hurt with the voters? 1.5 - Rafini - OJ Simpson [Athlete] The first athlete to go off the board, no surprise in who it is. 1.6 - Desnudo - Green River Killer [Murderers] Solid first rounder with decent volume and name recognition 1.7 - Sachmo71 - John Wayne Gacy [Murderers] Good value pick at this point in the draft. Everyone loves a clown. 1.8 - RadioFriendlyUnitShifter - Charles Manson [Murderers] Might be the steal of the draft so far. Great leadership skills will probably be a benefit. 1.9 - Sabotai - Zodiac Killer [Murderers] With the run on Murderers, sabotai grabs a big name before they're all gone. 1.10 - DeToxRox - Ed Gein [Murderers] Definitely has the resume, but name recognition may be an issue. DeTox may have to do some PR with the voters. Last edited by Bee : 02-17-2006 at 11:04 AM. |

Oliegirl and I have talked over her list and I am picking for her since she's out for a little while.
Its rare that an athlete comes up on capital murder charges, and the hunt for this guy, leading to him being found hiding in the trunk of a friend's car in Tennesee was simply bizarre. 2.7 - Athlete - Rae Carruth uhhh, Go Panthers, or something! |

Ok, I almost made this my pick back in the 1st round, so I'm glad it's still here. I feel wierd taking it though, since that guy posted it in his list yesterday. Oh well:
Hannibal Lecter (Fictional)

Dunno about the strat to take fictional characters early. There are definately a lot of big name fictional characters to pick from, and we only need one. Same thing with murderers (even though I did take 1 in the first round). Lots of big names there too.
I think the "Other" and "Wildcard" picks will be the ones that impact most, considering how vast the catagory is and we need to fill 3 spots total with those. Do you take a wide variety of criminals with those three, or do you stick to one specific area? Which strat will score bigger with the voters? |

Ok, I got off to a strong start, no time to let up now.
I've got two of the most deviant criminals in history on my roster. Now is the time to take a pick that can go beyond the mindless killing. After all, criminals are more than just murderers. I'm looking for someone who can bring a team of criminals together, and can cover all of the bases, so I'm picking: 3.3 "The Teflon Don" John Gotti - Other

At 3.4, Team Oliegirl selects:
Aileen Wuornos - Murderer (female), the real life Lesbian Serial Killer which the movie Monster was based on. She killed 7 men in Florida after they picked her up for sexual favors (prostitution) in the early 90's and was caught mainly by information turned in by her lover. This fulfills my female selection as well as filling up my murderer category... |

With it's third-round pick, team Rafini selects Don Vito Corleone (Andolini), Sicily, Fictional Character
With, arguably, the most notorious real-life gangster in history in Capone already on the squad, I figured I had to get the most well-known silver screen mobster. The Godfather is the mafia film all others are compared to, and when you think of The Godfather, the image of Don Vito sitting behind his desk has to come to mind. When it takes Marlo Brando and Robert DeNiro to play a character, you know he has to be great. |

I was under the impression from the sign up thread that we couldn't take guys like Hitler or Bin Laden.

3.8 Entertainer-Michael Jackson
It doesn't get anymore wacko than Jacko. You get put on trial once for child molestation? Okay, maybe it's just a money grab. If you continue to have sleepovers with little kids after this and wind up back in court, it's obvious you have a sick problem.
