As for sponsorship, I just figured I would pick some of them and pay them decently over a 90 to 180 day contract.

Alright... No clue whats going on with this... I like to watch MMA fights when they are on- but really know nothing, so I'm kind of flying blind.
My manager- Donnie Lowe (3273)
My 4 fighters:
Tony "Glass Jaw Tony" Thomson [ 7895 ]
Butch "Muddy Waters" Fulton [ 7897 ]
Don "Bottletop" Brack [ 7899 ]
Hiro "Sushi" Subaki [ 7900 ]

I tried booking a quick fight for all of them, I guess I'll see where it goes from here.

Hey, Landshark. I'll look for you guys and bring em into Oprichnik, if you'd like.

As far as 6'7" -- improved reach as well as increased vulnerability to certain submissions. That's what I've gathered from a month playing the game.

@ owners of other businesses: To answer the question of how you make extra money, I believe the developer is coming up with a way that you can co-sponsor fight events and then come away with a percentage of the merchandise sales. There has been decent buzz about this, and I believe it's "on the list" of things that Mike would like to work on.

The nice thing is that Mike actually seems to get to these items on his list on a pretty regular basis.

Well I've been on this game for quite a few hours now- lol- I decided to start up a gym, seemed like it could be fun. Hired 2 trainers, I set my price lower than everyone elses for now, and my trainers are pretty good.
One of these days I'll have to figure out some spreadsheets to know if I could even make a profit...but for now, just wanted to get it going.

Need to come up with a good name & logo for my gym ..I put it in St Petersburg with all my guys, I know I'm competing with some other FOFC guys but my lil place wont be much competition, for a while at least

On an almost completely random note, I wonder if there'd be a market for gear based around something like these?
Hazmat Placards, Hazardous Materials Warning Placards and Placard Holders
http://www.mysafetysign.com/Safety-S...ns-Labels.aspx

I'm picturing either the actual signage wording/symbols being used or alternate phrases/images done in the warning sign style
Something cheezy like "In case of fire: STOP, DROP, TAP"

Might get over, might suck, I dunno.

I'm using PS with some pluggins/filters and random images i'm finding in google, then i cut parts, apply textures, replace colors, create fading effects and then fit them into the templates, adding some text to some of them.

I'm having some good ideas based on those, as it's a game, i want the designs to be a bit exaggerated, and some catchy phrases could be fun, thanks

signed up yesterday, been reading quite a bit about it, very interesting. I'm looking at free agent fighters right now, think about hiring Eric Cartman, whom I believe is our own Cartman, right?

What happens if I hire a fighter instead of creating one?

And can I simply fire a fighter, or retire him?

For what i have been seeing, free agent fighters for hire are those who have been fired by his old manager, and if they were fired... ti was probably for a good reason, so i think it's a better idea to create your own fighters so you ca give them the attributes you want.

yeah, that's what I figured so I created Jonny "Hammerhead" Kordic, illegitimate son of late John Kordic, from the time he played with the Nordiques.

He's training out of Montreal.

Can we own more than one company? i have the link to start a new one but not sure if it will work as i already own the clothes one.

In case i can, i might go for a supplements one, as i don't want to compete in LA with CW with a gym.

Dola, nope, it doesn't work, you can only own one.

Btw guys, have we formed an alliance? it's basically a "clan" and we can compete worldwide together to become the top Alliance.

We should form the FOFC one if we haven't.

There was some discussion on their boards about young players cutting their fighters really quickly, so there are some good FAs out there.

As far as cutting fighters, I believe you can cut one every 30 days, or every 15 days if you're VIP.

thanks for the info re: cutting fighters. I tried my luck on a couple of interesting free agents, but the thing is that you tick the "hire" check box, then when the time's up, the guy will go to whoever wants him that has the highest hype. Since I'm really, really new, nobody wants to come fight for me, understandably so I must say.

Created a couple fighters:

"Sleepy" Bob Johnson based in LA (& proud member of Imperial Combat Club)
Plop Lesmar based in St. Petersburg

both have QFC fights coming up on Friday (I think... I can see who they're scheduled to fight, but it doesn't give a date).

There it is! Thanks!

Having lots of problems with UI & I'm not sure why. This isn't the first page that I didn't think to scroll down in. I think it's the right side nav bar that's throwing me off.

Sponsoring fighters raises the hype of companies (which gives them more sales from the "virtual buyers," right? So, how does it help the fighters? Are they paid? Or is it just assumed that they'll get free merch from the company?

(edit) Apparently, the sponsoring company sends a contract for an amount of $$ & time.

not sure if that's been said before, but I just realized you can buy clothing anywhere in the world, no matter where you or your fighters are based. Jonny Kordic is now proudly wearing the Sinners fight fire shorts.

Thanks to all you buying my clothes, i had to order more to the factory as some ran out of stock (lesson learned, it takes 3 days to get the stock filled back).

I have now made a deal with the 2nd promotion in L.A. to be their official clothes brand, they added my logo to their shows announcements and i'll create custom clothes for them.

CW, i'll deal that with you too for your gym in L.A. as you proposed.
