There is definitely, DEFINITELY, Bubbling in specific markets.

My dad told me about www.zillow.com

A most amazing site. One of the things I looked at when viewing some of the homes I have lived in (and my current one) is the graph on market/assessed value. If you see an exponential rise in the past few years, that's the bubble. If you see a steady straight line climb, that's a solid market. The bubble climb will eventually right itself down to the expected climb.

I would like to see what others think about this.

Update...I think because so many things are up in the air right now I am going to rent one more year. $500 is dirt cheap and I have a real nice place. It will be much easier to make a decision once I am engaged/married and she is done with school. If it all goes to waste (it wont...but I know how this board is...and yes I knocked on wood) I'll be glad I waited anyway.

Dola,

I'm hearing that the market isn't "ideal" for buying right now anyway (is it ever?) so I really wont be missing out one more year. It wont kill me to leave some doors open until next year.

This is another of those threads that's a bit scary to read now. I hope he waited until his girlfriend graduated, they got married, and they bought at (hopefully) the floor of the housing market in the last couple of years.

Like I said in the other thread, you've been pretty spot on not just with predictions but also with advice we've gotten from our realtor so that makes me feel that much more comfortable.
