The only way I can imagine this being legit is if the burger had cheese melted on it, then the cheese pulled of at the last minute instead of a new burger being made so that there are only traces of cheese undetectable by just glancing at it.

I pretty much can't gain weight if I try, been that way ever since a bout with an bleeding ulcer years ago that caused me to drop 30-40 pounds. I gained about 10-15 of those pounds back & have been at the same weight ever since.

So how does one go about getting a bleeding ulcer? Sounds like something I'd be interested in.

Was there ever any evidence that McDonald's coffee was magically warmer than what most of these people get from a cup at home or in the office?

I understand all the warnings, etc that McDonald's had, but it's still incumbent on you NOT TO SPILL THE FREAKIN COFFEE IN YOUR LAP!

Actually during the trial it was shown that the McD's cup of coffee was ~20 degrees warmer than their competitors have it.

I think coffee made in any restaruant setting must be brewed at..185 degrees? Not 100% on that but fairly certain

In my case, it was a combination of:
-- Working for the USPS
-- sleeping an average of 4 hours a day
-- living on a steady diet of honey buns & Diet Mountain Dew during the day, with beer and/or liquor at night
-- being in a relationship with a psychotic bitch

The rest of those are meaningless. THAT is the only real cause needed.

And while I empathize, I still hate you for having this ability. I've been diagnosed hyperglycemic (sugar levels too high, or in actual terms, Type 2 Diabetes) I've been watching my sugar intake, gutting out mad amounts of carbohydrates and eating a more healthy diet than I ever used to. I started playing tennis regularly (went 3-4 in my first USTA league over the summer) and I've lost a total of 4 lbs.

You sir, are deeeshpickable.

Old thread, just caught this though -- I have nothing better to do on a Sunday night

I think you're talking about the Tucker Country Inn, although it's not off the main road. Breakfast there isn't so great anymore, they have new owners. The owner opened up a new place in town, same cook, same great breakfast.

The legitimacy of this complaint lost me somewhere around "October 2005".

wouldn't surprise me if the guy went out with the intention of making this happen - "i'll just keep going to McDonald's and ordering until they screw it up and then i'll sue."

i hate people

I tried finding up to date info on the case. All I found was that the original lawyer for the family left the case and the family is now representing themself. The trial was supposed to have started in January (2 months ago), but I can't find anything on it.

Don't worry one day he'll wake up and his metabolism will have gone to sleep - I was skinny as a rake until my early twenties when my eating didn't change but my size sure did ... its taken me a decade plus to get used t eating more healthily and exercising consistently ....

First of all, WHAT THE FUCK? He called the McDonald's in Morgantown after driving to Clarksburg? Why did he have their number? Why didn't one person in the 40 minute drive back to C-Burg check the burger?

Crazy.
