Semi OT...I really want to be eating chips and salsa while I watch the ECU-VT game. There's salsa in the fridge, been in there for probably 3 weeks, maybe 4. Is it safe to eat?

If its a tomato or chili base I think you're ok, if its a cheese base, I would toss it.

I remember what a helpless feeling it is to be losing to a 1-AA team. A week after Rutgers' huge opening season win against Michigan State in 2004, we just couldn't stop Ricky Santos and New Hampshire.

Oh man...salsa con queso. Good thing it's not that, I would have a lot of trouble getting rid of pure ecstasy.

I'll eat damn near anything when it's fresh, but as soon as questions pop up about freshness, I get really skittish and usually err on the side of caution. I'm eating my baked Tostitos plain now. Problem is, they're the "scoop" variety, which is like a big tease at this point.

I imagine so, but I also imagine that the historical overestimation of the value of anything associated with the Big 10 extends to their network ad rates as well

More seriously though, they launched with 18 million subscribers after reaching an 11th hour deal with Insight,which really isn't bad for what is basically a regional sports network that'll have viewers only a quarter of the year.
