Think of it this way. One year ago, we struggled to become bowl eligible. This year, we may very well be bowl-eligible only halfway through the season and playing to firm up our credentials for a big bowl bid. Also, Nebraska was the only other North team to win (and looked pretty weak doing it), so we have a leg up on quite a few teams in the North as well. |

So, Rutgers is still much better than Missouri. Their win was 3 times more impressive than beating an 0-4 team at home by 15.

I don't think Rutgers is "much better". Remember, Colorado is a team that almost knocked off a Top 10 team the week before. I'm not sure how to rate Colorado. They are up and down. Rutgers hasn't played a great team yet. USF is a decent team, but they aren't a "great" team. Last edited by Galaxy : 10-02-2006 at 08:03 PM. |

Damn... up 24-0 and I thought.. ok boys keep playing your game... a bit later and it's 24-14 at halftime. It's going to be a stressful 2nd half.

Definitely a big win for you guys. You've got a pretty good chance at being 8-0 and heading into a trio of huge games.

I am pretty sure he is referring to Chase Daniel, our quarterback who is from Texas. :o I appreciate your need to defend Mizzou against every post, but you are really coming across as kind of arrogant and naive in all of your posts in this thread. Why not just enjoy the moment? You, Mizzourah, Blade, and me have been fans for as long as I have been posting here and we all know it. Sterlingice and his cronies will always post their slanted KU bullshit. But there seem to be a lot of people that wouldn't mind cheering for the Tigers. No need to piss off those people that don't have an opinion either way. Act like we have been there before. |

Well, and, as you know, I'm a bitter, angry person who will take any chance to make a disparaging comment about Mizzou. Ok, I give up, I'm too nice as a rival. Time to change. The gloves are coming off. Um... yeah... you guys are all dummos! Yeah, that's it! Take that! Burn! SI

Wheres illinifan, i need to vent before basketball seasons when he gets bragging rights back.
Really, i love my mizzou team...but im all for any team whos the underdog. Ill root for rutgers to take the big east, georgia tech or arkansas to take the ACC/SEC respectively. I hope they all do well, just as i hope they would root for us. Rivals can be friends, and ive been heartbroken watching the last 2 kansas games(sorry guys, i really thought you had both). I think the north all needs to support each other to dispell the notion we all suck. Be it whoever, lets take down the big dogs!

No TV for this weekend. Nice. So the east coast TV gurus are trying to tell me that a OU-ISU matchup (both teams lost last week) or a UT-Baylor matchup (that'll be close for at least a quarter) is a better game than the Big 12 leaders heading down to play A&M?
Guess I'll pony up the $29.95 and have all of the friends come over to the house. |

Yes, the Big XII tv package is dumber than a bag of rocks. That is all.

Mizzou gets the preference at my house viewing wise and that puts the Cardinals on the radio.
I have the TIVO that you have to watch what is taping. |

You can use that Tivo and still watch something else while you Tivo another program. All you have to do is use a splitter on the incoming cable. Input one of the cables directly into the TV. Input the other into your Tivo box and then use component cables to connect to your TV. Then, you have two separate feeds that you can switch between just by switching video inputs. Really easy to do. Here's how to do it if you have a cable box: http://customersupport.tivo.com/know...ic/tv2069.htm? And here's how you do it if you don't have a cable box: http://customersupport.tivo.com/know...ic/tv2100.htm? |

From the moment Franklin let the ball get knocked out of his hands on a for sure TD, I knew this game wasn't going to be pretty.
That place has to be hard to play in. We didn't play well, and we were still very much in that game today. Time to lick our wounds and come home! |

Yeah, we should have won the game, but certainly no shame in losing to a one loss A&M team. If you're going to lose a conference game, it's best to lose to a team in the other division. KSU should be an easy win and OU just lost their starting RB, so we have a good schedule laid out in front of us. |

Look at it this way.......very few if any would have pegged us for a 6-1 record at this point in the season. Beat KSU and we're 7-1. That's an awfully good start. |

Well, if we finish the regular season with one loss, I'll allow you to lament that one game. My guess is that we'll probably lose one more assuming we can beat either Nebraska or Oklahoma. If we only lose one more, we'll be North Division champs and heading to Arrowhead to play the Longhorns. I'd say that would be an excellent season with most of our superstars returning for next season. |

I figured them at 9-3, I believe at the start of the season, so I'm happy.. don't want it to sound like I'm not. Now that the season is where it's at, I see a loss at Nebraska and for some reason Iowa State worries me. With Peterson out for our game, I think we definitly have a chance. 10-2 is definitly attainable. Last edited by MizzouRah : 10-16-2006 at 11:33 AM. |

Another fine win by the Tigers. They started a bit slow, but really turned it on in the last 3 quarters. Turned out to be another 20 point win for the Tigers.
With the Nebraska loss, the Oklahoma game is no longer quite as critical. With both teams now having one loss, even if we lose to Oklahoma and win the rest of the games, MU is the North champion. That comeback by Texas yesterday made MU's road to the championship game much easier to achieve. Even if MU wins the Oklahoma game, they still will probably have to beat Nebraska to make/win the B12 championship. Last edited by Mizzou B-ball fan : 10-23-2006 at 07:10 AM. |

North, sure, but not the whole kit 'n caboodle. I'll die of shock if they beat Texas in Arrowhead. Happy shock, but shock all the same. |

Most said that MU would finish 5th or 6th in the North. They were wrong about that as well. Nebraska got up for the Texas game. They should have won, but didn't. Listen, if Kansas can walk into Lincoln and take them to overtime, MU will be able to give Nebraska all they can handle. NU is lucky they aren't 0-2 in the games against KU and Texas. |
