I agree that it wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible either. If the bags were filled with just the Blue Cheese ones, I would buy it again.

Does anyone remember the short-lived Sonic Sour Cream flavor? I think it came in a bright green bag. Good stuff.

There was some smokin BBQ flavor out that was pretty good. Dunno if it still is made though.

They do a red hot and spicy one in England in Red packets - no idea what flavour it equates to in America .... but I miss it
(if its the same as one of the local flavours and you know please post it here .... my diet won't thank you, but I will ) |

They're kind of "meh" in my book... I still like my discontinued Doritos the best, dang I haven't had a Dorito in a long while (not since college football season, I guess). Maybe I should rectify that. /tk

I believe that was the Taco/Ranch combo. That combo I thought was pretty good. Then again, they had me at "Taco" so it was somewhat irrelevant about the Ranch half. |

They have a new one at 7-11 in Socal called something like Spicy and Sweet Chili, I think it might be like the tapas flavor or something.

I had Doritos last night and was reminded that you just can't beat the original, Nacho Cheese...all the different flavors are fun and it's always nice to have variety, but in a pinch, go with the classic...it'll never let you down

I bought Doritos "Spicy Sweet Chili" and they're not bad. They're a little sweet with a kick, but not sure about chili... seemed more like a sweet, spicy ranch chip.

I still have a hard time finding Salsa Verde in the big bags (the little ones at the convenience stores are easy to get in my area). So I've since become a huge fan of the Habanero.

This has nothing to do with Doritos, but I just found a local little store that specializes in niche culinary snacks and things. They have an entire section of the store devoted to every kind of olive you could ever think of. I think they have over 200 different kinds. They have it set up with a tasting area, where you pay $.25 for two olives of any kind that you want to try.
I'm totally addicted. I came home the other day with a jar of habanero stuffed olives, a jar of spicy jamaican jerked olives, and a jar of lemon/anchovy stuffed olives. They are all so good tasty, I'm going to save the brines and use them to marinate chicken and stuff. MMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmm..... (Of course, I can't them now, since, as of yesterday, I have an infected wisdom tooth. I hope this antibiotic works soon, because I want my damned olives!!)

Creepy to think about but funny. I'm still trying to figure out what all 4 ingredients are but stopped since I thought it would make my brain hurt. SI

Hint of Lime, thank you. But I wish all those flavours were available this side of the Atlantic. Damn the bland British palate.

I'm a very angry man with the Frito Lays company, tired of seeing them introduce new flavors and then discontinue them a year or two later. Habanero has now gone the way of the dodo, it appears. They should publicize it when they're going to discontinue one. Honestly, and I realize this is quite pathetic, I would've bought a case of the things had I only known. |

Cape Cod Tim's Kettle Cooked Lays Miss Vickie Usually Jalapeno flavored.

They have brought back the Taco Doritos more than once over the past few months, including a current run with a varied taco formula. Not bad...

Anyone tried these new flavors? I saw one that was "late night taco" and I bought it, even though I figured it was the same taco flavor as always, just packaged in a different bag. Then a few days later I saw a bag of one of those double-flavored kinds, that I'm not sure if they were new, but I don't remember trying them (something like chipotle and zesty ranch), so I grabbed them. There was also a bag of "last call jalapeno poppers" that were definitely new. I'm trying the jalapeno popper chips now and they are awesome!

I got the "taco at midnight" ones, expecting them to be the same as the regular taco ones, but I'm not sure if they are or not. Not bad though. Still no toasted corn doritos in Myrtle Beach though.
