was it just me or was that like the easiest final jeopardy question EVER. hell, it took me all of 1/2 second for my college-educated brain to get it. I mean...really.

This episode was good all around. Very tight and fast paced. And it had that thing that makes Jeopardy great- you knew all three were smarter than you.

Great match. Looking forward to the next two days...

...and then Thursday and Friday, when I have the feeling that the questions will suddenly seem so /easy/ again.

Well, I think there was a generational component to it. For instance, I was 9 when Reagan left office so, no, I didn't know it other than in a historical "oh, yeah, that was one of his commonly used phrases" sense. But I didn't know that was the answer to the question.

I thought he was third. The middle guy had $18,400, the guy on the left had $16,400, and Ken had $16K. Maybe I got the last two switched.

Either way, it's anyone's game. Ken's disadvantage for not having to go through the earlier rounds is having to get back into the swing and timing of things. He looked a bit rusty. However, it's pretty obvious he won't be running whole categories on these guys regardless.

Yes, but they only played the "shining city" clip oh, about 2,000 times when Reagan died.

However, it was Ken who got off to the hot start. I think he had over 8,000 after Jeopardy but only 13,000 after Double Jeopardy. Brad and Jermoe did a much better job in the second round.

During his original run Ken often used the Daily Double's to his advantage. Tonight he got the first one on the 4th clue so not much of a chance to get a big advantage and Brad got both Daily Double's in Double Jeopardy.

Ken was trying to find the last one when he went straight for the $1200 and $1600 clues in the last topic. However, Brad got the $1200 question right, picked the $2000 question, and got the DD. Good move by Ken to recall that only one DD had been found, just bad luck in not guessing which one it was under.

Ah. That would have required me to watch more than 10 minutes of that coverage to really get it drilled home.

Looks like Comedy Central is building a new game show, to feature Ken Jennings.

Ugh. This guy is annoying already. Who would they make his sidekick be? Ryan Seacrest?
