They didn't have it!!!!! I should have known... the local chain grocer down teh street closed up shop so for the time being we only have a 'gourmet' grocer in our neighborhood. I could have gone all the way downtown but it was getting late... tonight I will be on the lookout!!

Dreyer's Dreamery, huh? I know that they carry some of their flavors at the Walmart down the street. I need to go check and see if they have Tiramisu there...

Holy shit! Tonight I bought a pint of Ben and Jerry's Brownie Batter ice cream. Damn this stuff is good. Extremely rich and chocolaty, damn tasty...

I think I may have found myself a new favorite...

I've found a new favorite, Blue Bell's Dulce de Leche Cheesecake ice cream. It's a damn fine concoction of vanilla ice cream, caramel, graham crust bits, cheesecake, and other goodies. It's very rich and delicious, and I'm glad I gave it a try...

I thought I'd drop by and mention the flavor Pumpkin. It's a seasonal one that I believe is made by a company tied to Edy's. Very good though. Hard to describe the taste, but it has a sort of cinnamon spice kick to it.

I've never been a big fan of blue bell, mostly because a lot, though not all, of their flavors seem to have sub-par ingredients. For instance many of their flavors that contain chocolate just have regular ole chocolate syrup dumped in.

I must say I miss being able to buy Blue Bell up here though. They offer a lot of flavors to choose from if you are looking for something different.

Something to add to this thread:
Mexican Vanilla. Had this last time I was in Austin. Yum.
Pumpkin ice cream can be good too, both are rich and have cinnamon and nutmeg tastes to them.

haha wow, serves me right for being a slow poster! But yea, pumpkin is great. I've tried it from a few ice cream brands, I think the Natural brand has a really good one too.

Down here they call that Turtle Tracks, but it's made with Vanilla Ice Cream.

my Faves:

1. Turtle Tracks or White Turtle Ice Cream (Mayfield or Brusters)
2. Choc. Chip Cookie Dough
3. Oreo
4. Cherry Garcia (Ben and Jerry's)
5. Breyers Vanilla

1) Pralines & Cream (or Pecans) depending on the manufacturer
2) Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
3) Something with Cherries and ice cream
4) A good mint chocolate chip - it is amazing how much the flavor can change depending on the maker.

Just gotta say, Marble Slab is MUCH better than Cold Stone, but I do like them both.
