Kaching!!!
4 straight top 10's to open the season, much better results =) now to keep it going!! is it just me, or does Snow Motorsports have a problem? If I'm succeeding, Telle, Ren and Kai seem to be sucking wind, when they all do well, *I* suck wind....weird... Sorry kids, daddy wants another title =)

Ah, screw you guys in the accident. At least you didn't start in 5th and end the day long before it really started:

Picks for Protection One 400
- MICHAEL PERSINGER - CHARLOTTE OBSERVER
Chris Snow - Four Top Ten's in four races is impressive. I have a feeling Chris will make the next step to a win today. The rest of the FOFC Winston Cup must be shaking right now. - LISA NAPOLI - THATSRACIN.COM Sterling Silvers - He may be stuck in 26th place in the points right now but he is still a top driver on the circuit. He was running top five until a broken header ended his day at Zenjoltis. He will bounce back in a big way. - DAVID POOLE - CHARLOTTE OBSERVER Telle Snow - Watch out for Telle today. Telle excels on mile and a half tracks and Kansas should be no differant. If she gets a top five starting spot she could dominate. - RUPEN FOFARIA - RPM.ESPN.COM Mustafa Henderson - Mustafa's the man today. He struggled a bit so far this season but always has a dominate car. Expect him to have a very good day today. - GEORGE W. BUSH - PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES Travis Elkin - Season's 8 been tough for Elkin so far but he still knows how to drive a car. Kansas will be the spot where he breaks out his slump. Protection One 400 Results
A caution while green flag pit stops were underway completely changed the day. After the the caution only 3 drivers were left on the lead lap. Buttercup Jr, Hacker Vance and Sonny Daze. Kodos N. Kang and Chris Snow would both work their way back onto the lead lap though. It looked like Buttercup Jr. would run away with the win but he got tangled up with a lapped car with only 11 laps remaining. Hacker Vance took over from there and took the victory.

Standings
Chris Snow continues to be very consistent and leads the standings by 55. Nick Phillips finds himself in 2nd and Rewbie Newsday is 3rd. Remind anyone of Season 6? Bobby Mask and Billy Rudd round out the top 5.

Man, outstanding beginning to my season. 5 races, 5 top 5 finishes.
Sadly, just like reality, its the winston Cup "pace" much more than the "race" consistancy wins championships. |

Picks for Bristol
Here's the picks for the Sharpie 500 from our esteemed panel of racing experts.
- MICHAEL PERSINGER - CHARLOTTE OBSERVER Rewbie Newsday - He dominated the first 200 laps at Bristol last year before he had some problems. I expect him to dominate for 500 laps this time. - LISA NAPOLI - THATSRACIN.COM Chris Snow - Five Top Ten's in five races is mighty impressive. If he can stay out of trouble he should be right up front at the end. - DAVID POOLE - CHARLOTTE OBSERVER Kai Collins - Kai may be buried in 41st in the standings but he can still drive. He proved that last season with his top five finish in the standings. He will break out of the slump at Bristol. - RUPEN FOFARIA - RPM.ESPN.COM Rob Zalez - Rob has had a quiet season thus far and finds himself in 13th in the points. He'll get his first top five of the season in the form of a victory. - GEORGE W. BUSH - PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES Nick Phillips - I put my faith in Elkin at Kansas and he blew it. Elkin, I think you might just be a terrorist or something. You might be getting a visit from the FBI very soon. But Nick Phillips is the pick this week. The Season 6 champ is always a solid pick. |

Sharpie 500 Results
Today's race was one the most brutal in FOFC Winston Cup history. Only 19 cars were left running at the end of the day. Every single car was involved in a wreck at somepoint in the day. But the two cars that stood out were John Condor and Mike Tokunaga. Tokunaga led 107 laps, Condor 106. But Condor took the checkered over Tokunaga by 1.42 seconds. No other driver was on the lead lap.

Standings
After six races so far this season the standings have many surprises in them. The top two, Chris Snow and Rewbie Newsday are expected. But Mike Tokunaga in third place?!? That is a bit unexpected. Daniel Ertmann has surprised many people and is in 7th in the points. Rookie Parris Duffus has been solid and is in 11th. But then you have the bad surprises. Travis Elkin in 22nd? Telle Snow 29th, Mustafa Henderson 30th, Sterling Silvers 31st, and Ren Snow 32nd. You expect those four to be right together, but at the front of the standings. And then Kai Collins finds himself in 42nd, dead last. Collins is a driver who finished 12th in the points two years ago and 4th last season. The surprises won't end though, expect more throughout the season.

3rd place? I will definitely take that in the overall standings so far!
I think I am going to have to change my signature...

I guess I'm the guy who has to fill in the bottom of the points to make everyone feel better about themselves. But hey, 12th at Bristol. Actually that's because everyone else wrecked.

Congrats. The Mack brothers are still loooking for their first victory, so I know how it feels (and if Jobu wins before Jeeber does, I'm going to throw a freakin fit!).

Picks for Darlington
Here's the picks for the Carolina Dodge Dealers 400 from our esteemed panel of racing experts.
- MICHAEL PERSINGER - CHARLOTTE OBSERVER Mike Tokunaga - Tokunaga has really turned things around this season. Normally you would see him near the bottom of the standings, but so far this season he finds himself in 3rd. He should be strong at Darlington. - LISA NAPOLI - THATSRACIN.COM Ren Snow - Ren's had a horrible season thus far. He's stuck in 32nd in the standings. He should race well at Darlington. - DAVID POOLE - CHARLOTTE OBSERVER Billy Rudd - Rudd always quietly races well. He's 6th in points but no one is paying any attention to him. He'll make them notice today. - RUPEN FOFARIA - RPM.ESPN.COM Al Kaholic - Al is currently in 12th place in the standings. He finds himself near the front often and should be up front again today. - GEORGE W. BUSH - PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES Telle Snow - Telle dominated last year's running of this race. She should do it once again. |

Carolina Dodge Dealers 400 Results
For the second straight week, more cars crashed out than finished. Points leader Chris Snow took advantage of the wrecking and dominated, leading 185 of 367 laps. Shane Kormelink, Bobby Mask and It's Craptacular were the only other drivers on the lead lap. Snow's points lead will grow quite a bit from this win.

Argh! Another incomplete race. Oh well, with 3 Snows qualifying 1-2-3, you knew one was going to win. *sigh* My slump continues.
