Are you sure it wasnt the show "Most Haunted" that was exposed?

I was replying to the post just above mine, which mentioned "Most Haunted" so yes, I am sure that it WAS "Most Haunted" that was exposed.

Yay, Brian "Dude, run!" Harnois is back.

It looks like TAPS has now got a whole line of new merchandise.

The Halloween special was okay. The evp was cool but could have been faked. I remember an episode from season 1 where they were talking about a homeowner who installed a speaker inside of a wall to prove his house was haunted, so it could have been that. The shadowy figure was interesting. At first I thought it was an animal running across the pool table. After seeing the replays it looked like that figure from the first Eastern State Penitentiary episode.

Yeah, that EVP sounded a little too good to be true. But the shadowy thing was creepy, no doubt.

I don't like Brian and the melodrama that he brings to the show. I'm not sure why they brought him back. Steve was obviously thrilled, too.

I was hoping to see Ghost Hunters last night after reading this thread, but we watched the first 30 minutes of that Most Haunted Live show and man, was that awful. I couldn't take anymore after watching all of the bad acting and unsubstantiated things happening ("this door was just locked shut and now I can push it open!" Really, excuse me for not taking your word for it.). I've never known a spirit who would answer questions on the spot like they were asking. Right at 8:30, when I knew a commercial was coming, they asked the guy a questions and he "asked" the spirit, and there was a pause, and they guy said something like, "Can you tell me," and I said to my wife,"Yes, please tell us, we're coming up on a commercial brreak." And sure enough, he got his answer just in time to go to the break. Amazing!

I can't believe people watch (and believe) that stuff. I'm assuming Ghost Hunters is a little more realistic (I hope). That host for Most Haunted was a combination of Prince Charles, Ryan Seacrest, and Jim Carrey. Scary!

Did you see how he started to get huffy in the Blue Moon? They need to cut bait with this guy, and loan him some cash for braces. Yeek.

It is, indeed. The basic premise of Ghost Hunters is that the team is there to investigate supposed hauntings through technology. They present their findings to the owners of the property, and usually let them draw their own conclusions. The lead investigators are skeptics, and will toss aside most evidence...unless it's something that they can't somehow explain. The show can still lean a bit toward the hokey side - I especially don't like it when they run around outside - but at others times it's downright great.

Yeah, sach, Brian is a walking soap opera and all he does is drag down the show. Dumb move bringing him back.

I thought the shadow by the pool table last night was pretty interesting. The coat hanger didn't do much for me. I too think they shouldn't have let Brian back on the show.

New episode will air 3/29. I believe they have 9 episodes (there's a mention that the 3/29 episode is the beginning of the back 9) left for season 2.

Last week they did a mini marathon of some of the better episodes from last season. We caught the Halloween show and the one with the figure of the soldier on the locker. That has to be their best find ever.

My wife slept through the Halloween episode the first time around so she was happy to get a chance to see it. That black figure behind the pool table was creepy.

Thanks a bunch for bumping this up. I would have been pissed had I missed the show.

Anyone know what the 'Psychic at Large' series is that they are premiering behing Ghost Hunters tonight?

Yeah, I'm not crazy about the whole soap opera. My advice to the producers of that show is to not make it about the individual personalities. None of them warrant the attention and that is not why we watch anyway. I really don't care if Brian's girlfriend is controlling or if Steve wound up the extension chord wrong.

Yeah, I'm with ya there. I like a lot of the crew, but enough's enough with the melodrama. I also get tired of the two co-founders saying, "Well, I think that went well" in the van every time. But it's still a blast to watch.

See, I love the "personalities" angle of the show (other than Brian). It makes it more interesting, and makes me actually give a shit about the members of TAPS. For me, that's actually saved more than a few boring episodes where nothing happens.

He didn't say it in the van.

I liked the thermal image but I didn't see the "head" part of it. I don't know about the "bat" thing. It looked like the camera adjusted when it came into view.

Very cool location, but in general it seemed like they were trying a little too hard with this episode. And too much Brian.

I think that location could have used a week long effort. If hauntings exist, that place would definately fit the bill.

Meh. Last night wasn't bad, but wasn't great. If anything, it shows they are more interested in debunking ghost stories than helping perpetuate false ones. Not that either one last night was false, but they certainly weren't going to give the theater guy any ammunition. Though it's funny how he parsed the reveal into "see? I'm not crazy."

Little kids being creeped out by a basement doesn't make for a very good argument. Our basement scared the hell out of me as a little kid. And I think Jason bumped something to make that board fall. The moving EMF readings in the attic were interesting, though.

I have to say that so far I am not particularly impressed with this season. Lots of teases and build-up, but in the end nothing substantive and a lot of "I thought I saw x" and "Did you hear that?"

I know they can't find cool stuff every episode, but they better pick it up.

The mark on Grant's back was wicked to look at.

We've been getting a lot of "did you see/hear that?" moments, which are not caught on the TAPS equipment. Are they not being followed by a TV crew? Can't their cameras/mikes catch anything?

Which is what starts to hurt their credibility, I think. In the first season I thought - for the most part - they built up a solid reputation as investigators, but this season it's been borderline silly. They interject the fake flashes and sounds so much over the actual footage it's hard to tell anymore. Like the "whisper" last episode - I thought we heard it, but apparently that wasn't really what was heard.

Plus they continue with the ridiculous "Brian must apologize to everyone" soap opera.

The Brian crap is getting annoying. My wife defends it. Ughh.

The whisper is one instance I was thinking of. And seeing a flash out of the corner of their eye while a TV camera is filming them and the room behind them. Can't cameras see what the eye sees?

Still, I enjoy the show and look forward to it each week.

most amazing show ever.....i was at my parents eating dinner when it came on. My old man and I sat there and watched the whole thing. That ghost peaking over the railing twice was un-freaking-believable!!!!!

It moved so fast between levels also... just amazing.

Yeah, the ghost saying "help me" was really cool too. I was just amazed at the whole sequence of events.

yeah... that was crazy to.

Honestly thats the best evidence i've ever seen, of course nothing is 100%. But that ghost looking over the railing gave me chills like you wouldn't believe.

And since there was a motion sense up there, and both the doors were pad locked, there was just nowhere for anyone to go.

amazing stuff

If you need something to hold you over, the guys have been doing periodical podcasts from the different locations of this year's episodes. They have actually been quite entertaining.

http://www.tapspararadio.libsyn.com/

Their website also has a lot of stuff on it......

http://www.theatlanticparanormalsociety.com/

Also, there's a podcast on the internet involving paranormal stuff that has been doing weekly shows for over 5 years. They have all 5 years of downloads archived and available for downloading. If you go through this year's archives, you'll note that Brian (from Ghost Hunters) and Ron Millione (the gadget guy for Ghost Hunters) have both appeared on the show a couple of times this year. Lots of EVP's on every episode as well.
