Yeah, I lived in the dorms for about a month or so when I first transferred here last semester and we met because we lived in the same bldg after we realized we both were in the same place. But since I moved off campus, I only go on campus for classes or to go to work for the most part. Especially this semester since my gf is studying overseas, I have no real reason to hang out there and my friends who do live on campus come to the apartments to hang out since about 8 people in my circle of friends all moved to the apartments at the same time. I see him around randomly, but usually in passing.

So do I. It was hilarious. I was posting on some thread and somehow, he mentioned something about "we" in a college football thread about Wyoming. I was like "you're here too?" Anyway, long story short I find out randomly that not only was he here, but he was just a few floors up in the same building that I lived in at that time. I got a good chuckle out of it and told a few friends who know about the board and FOF and thought it was pretty cool, too.

Yeah, you're not at Wyoming anymore? You mean you went through all that crap finding a fraternity for just one semester? How come we didn't get a Wisconsin-Lacrosse fraternity thread !?

Because my recruitment and bidding for the UW-L fraternity I'm pledging was that fast. I literally had a bid card before the spring semester even started. The other fraternities I talked to/explored in that period that I was looking at for UW-L didn't impress me nearly as much as the one I'm pledging now does. And I think these guys I can honestly say even if I wasn't in the fraternity, if I met them I'd still be friends with most of them.

Dude, you're just too old to be in a fraternity. Hell, 26 is too old to be an undergrad, and if you're still in college full time at that age, you'd better be close to having a doctorate degree under your belt.
(then again... I'm a college dropout... feel free to ignore me completely) |

I have to agree with Franklin. You're kind like "Blue!"

Then who were the ones that were getting mad at you when you were lying on the front deck and refusing to party?

True... like I said, I'm basically an idiot. But I still think that he's too old to be in a fraternity, which, in my experience, has always just been an extension of the "cool clique of guys who like to get drunk in high school." |

That's my general assessment of the situation. I felt old at 23 when I graduated and left my fraternity. Personally, I try and imagine pledging at 26 and can't even fathom it. I think there are a ton of alternative social options that would allow you to build a group of friends at age 26. To each his own though. |

true enough.. i was just saying from the age perspective and being an undergrad. i'm 34 and much like you a college dropout.... as for the fraternity, it also served the purpose of being underaged and getting drunk. |
