Great win, though.

Larry McGillicuddy Grand Junction DE 10 Tkl, 1 Hry, 4 Sack, 1 Int Considering that the next highest tackle total on our team was half of yours, and in fact our entire linebacking corps had a total of 5 non-special-teams tackles, yeah, I'd say you had a great game. |

This game is stomping on my nutz.
I had to spend a week trying to get on a team, but finally some guy offered me a back up spot (which i was more than happy to take) on a super active team with a full and active forum. One of the first messages I read said there will never be any releases, if you're on the team you're on the team to play....roughly three hours later I was released . I pimped myself out for a couple days on the forum and finally find an owner who'll take me on. He has another LVL 4 FS (which is what I am), but I'm fine with playing backup or splitting carries, and I tell the owner just that, and that I'm happy to play in whatever capacity he needs me. He replies with "Great, you're JUST the kind of owner I need, willing to play whatever it takes." I make a post in the team forum, which is entirely empty, wishing some luck to the fellas on the team. Finally today, our game rolls around after all the delays, and I'm waiting to see if I can get in a couple plays and make some impact, hopefully at least getting my name in the rotation. The result: I didn't play a down in a tightly contested 0-42 loss. |

Well, I've resisted posting any highlights of middle linebacker Bulletproof Vest, but I put together a pretty good game and hit level 8 at the same time (of course we got smoked unfortunately). 9 tackles, 2 for loss, and 1 pass defended:
Plugging the gap to force the loss Pass defended (aka dropping the sure pick) Breaking through the gap this time Anyway, the Victorian Admirals are battling through a rough year but look at Canadian Pro League for us next year! Last edited by PurdueBrad : 04-10-2008 at 08:00 PM. |

Lowcountry had it's first definitive win. A 29-9 affair that saw LB Wade Moore put up 6 Tackles, 1 For Loss, a Pass Defensed, and an INT.

Even though my DT doesn't really rack up much in the way of stats each week, I feel pretty good about what the run defense is doing right now.

Icy - Looking forward to future battles with you for conference domination. This game is really fun. Owning a team just makes it that much more addictive. The Trolls are off for playoff fun! And if anyone has a lvl 4 CB I'd be happy to take them on board. |

And the Silverbacks cap a great end to the season winning their last five games....including today's 33-6 drubbing of the Minnesota Ambush.
Hopefully the team sticks around for next season. Can't wait to see if we can carry this momentum over. Cheers! |

I would have put that result in a spoiler tag so soon after the game, just for anyone who is using LS's script. Then again, I guess people could avoid this thread until after they watch the game, which I just did.
Anyway, our season isn't over. We are a 6th seed in the playoffs.

The Gators squeak in as the 8th seed on the game-breaking performance of Potatus Frye. 10 catches, 164 yards, and 3 TD's (with two being 40+ yard receptions).

Heads up for everyone. If I'm reading the thread correctly, the playoffs start for all teams tomorrow. I'm resting Randall tonight, so he'll be at full energy and ready to go.

Ugh, if I just break outside toward the sideline I've got a blocker who can seal them off and I'm off to the races...

I finally had a "breakthrough" game for DE Arthur Fonzarelli in our glorious win over the Springfield Atoms. The line: 4 tackles, 2 hurries, 1 sack (4 yds) and 2 passes blocked.
And to celebrate I decided to buy my last two boosts of the season. The Gators will now be able to unleash a Level 10 Fonzie on some sorry playoff opponent's ass! Assuming I can get up off of mine. My energy is down to 61. Looks like I'll be taking it easy in training now. |

I was wrong. While the playoffs start today for some teams, they are maintaining the usual 48 hours between games. The Silverbacks don't play for 37 hours or so. |

Wow some guys are taking this so seriously. In one of the teams i'm in, the owner is going to pay real $ by paypal to his players for reaching the playoffs, winning the champ, being player of the year etc. I guess next will be real $ salaries. There is a chance i can become a pro football player at my 32 yeas old!!

The Tottenham Trolls win their first round playoff game 20-7!!!
This marks the 6th time in the 9 games since I took over the team that we've held an opponent to 10 pts or less. (7-2 record) Best part is since the #8 beat the #1 team, we get a home game. That's anywhere from 600 - 850k in additional revenues depending on how many tickets we can sell. I may be able to buy me one of them there high level DTs I've been needing. |

Well Chilton was not one of the FOFC teams in the playoffs, but we did win our last two and today knocked Omaha out of the USA AA Western conference playoffs scoring a 20-14 upset on the road. Congrats to the Trolls, Gators and Silverbacks on making the playoffs, hopefully I haven't missed ony of the FOFC teams.

It will be a tough game for the Gators today. Our offense and defense have picked up over the past 2 games, so hopefully we can make a game of it. It will be tough going in as a #8 against #1.

Looks like there is no XP gained for playoff games.
I'm sure people will be split 50/50 on whether or not this is good or bad.
