Five players from Class AAAA state champion Tucker signed letters of intent at an 8:30 a.m. ceremony on the school campus.

Running back Drayton Calhoun has enrolled at LSU and will participate in spring drills with the Tigers.

“He was told he would be given a chance to play running back, but he could also fit into what they are doing at slot receiver,” head coach Franklin Stephens said.

Defensive back A.J. Bouye and linebacker Jonathan Davis signed with Central Florida, and linebacker Tevin Holliman and defensive tackle Deion Roberson will play at Western Kentucky and North Carolina State, respectively.

Roberson was injured in the Tigers’ first game and missed the season. Holliman is rehabilitating a torn MCL and will most likely redshirt with the Hilltoppers.

The seniors won 27 of 29 games in two years under Stephens.

I hve no doubt that it will still be a great class but losing Te'o hurts. I have no doubt that he would have contributed immediately at USC. Should be an interesting battle at linebacker for USC next year.

Edit: I just hope Galippo can stay healthy. If he doesn't, it could be scary.

Jarvis Jones is now a must get. If not, it's a class that looks pretty on paper but doesn't address the most pressing need we have. I don't know if we have a serious shot at Jones, or if we even have a backup plan if he goes elsewhere. Gotta think the staff was as shocked as we were by Teo going to ND.

2 of our 3 most experienced linebackers have serious injury problems (Galippo and Brown). Behind them, it's pretty much guys who have never played a serious snap.

Completely agreed. Jarvis Jones is critical. I just don't have faith that Brown or Galippo can stay healthy.
