I like Castro fwiw.

Wasn't a big fan of this past week's performance, but I could see buying an album and/or song(s) of his.

That dude bothers me. I didn't like the fact that none of the judges called him out for laughing through the French parts of Michelle as if he was in 3rd grade and had farted in class. Talk about not connecting to the song. He's just way too awkward and bizarre for me...it makes me uncomfortable to watch him. I thought Simon's comments about his facial expressions saving that performance were completely wrong - the vocal wasn't great, but it was by far the best part of it. The rest made it ridiculous.

Seems like the avoid letting him talk too much on the show. Perhaps he isn't strong in the "social skills".

He's not. He says he's only performed in front of people 5 times total before AI. And he seems very socially awkward. I'm sure that is part of his endearing quality to some people, but he seems better fit for Beauty and the Geek than AI.

Going back to Amanda, here's another quote:

That’s the attitude I’ve had with all of this. I’m thankful to be here and feel very privileged to have come this far. But I absolutely refuse to be nostalgic about it. You know why? That’s when you lose a sense of reality. I saw it happen with a few people. It’s just ridiculous. We have the potential to be stars right now. We’re not stars. All we are now is recognizable. That’s it. I’ve got a hell of a lot more work in front of me before I can exhale and say, ”All right. I’ve made it.”

Well, I like her more now that she's not singing on AI every week and those rumored pics never leaked. So yeah, in that way plus her attitude, I like her. But I don't go for biker chicks.

If true, I think those are very good song choices for Carly, Jason and Michael. I hope Ramiele does well as I like her and that song, but I think it will probably be bad.

KLC's choice would be hard to listen to AGAIN if it was being performed by the original artist, let alone her. I may not even watch her attempt it.

I think Brooke's choice is also good, and I will be very interested to see what David Cook is thinking with his choice.

Wow, I'm very interested to see what David Cook does with that tune...could be a showstopper or a trainwreck.

The entire list looks solid except one glaring, awful, ridiculous choice.

Does KLC WANT to get kicked off of this show?

Wow Syesha really good, I'm just not a fan of her timbre. A bit whiny sounding usually from her and that wasn't much different. Agree with the judges, that was her best.

Here's the problem with Chikeze. This performance shows all of his vocal sloppiness a lot more. His previous couple of performance have been that just sped up. Sloppy Sloppy Bo Boppy.

1. As the weeks wear on, Carly's arm flab is really starting to offend me on a deep moral level. The girl needs to invest in sleeves.

2. The band is really awesome week in and week out, but the backup singers have ruined more songs for me than I care to count. Are they always flat, or am I just tone deaf?

3. In addition to The Masturbation Tapes, I would also pay good money to, just once, have Carly finish a song and be greeted by complete audience apathy. I'm pretty certain she would just collapse into a ball on the stage, start sucking her thumb and go quietly insane.

So ok, on these last two. Michael Johns and Carly whoever.

The balance is off between the performer and the band. I don't know who is on the board but the band is getting totally smothered. These have been very big voice songs and they need to cut down the volume on those mics for them but they haven't. It was noticeable during Michael's performance but it didn't bother me. It threw a lot of things off in Carly's performance. I think it was a lot of what was bothering the judges when they said "something was just not quite right." She wasn't really out of tune except a couple of little things. I thought her performance was very strong if you can overlook the botched balancing job.

"Your best performance by a mile" is like a back handed compliment, right? Right?!

And i can't believe all the love they're giving Bruce Greenwood. GBtUSA has got to be one of the most obvious, pathetic "I'm going to pluck at your heart strings and we'll all agree to pretend that this melody doesn't suck" songs of all time.

I may be an anti-MJ Nazi, but that version of "Billy Jean" blew away the original by a country mile. If there really is a God, Michael Jackson just hung himself in a closet somewhere out of shame.

After last week, I knew David Cook had it to win this. The very thing Simon killed him on was what brought me completely around. He finally was showing some personality which he desperately needed. This week just comfirms it. There is no one in his league on the show right now. Micheal Johns still just bores me, Carly has been underwhelming, Brooke is good, but will not be popular enough across the board to make it to the final two. David A. is a shoe-in because of all the teeny-love, and will probably win it all, but David Cook should be the winner (at least right now. He could actually purposely throw it at any time).
