They're being outplayed, but don't be surprised if they play their best game of the series tomorrow. They just better hope that Brodeur doesn't decide to have one of his games.

Brodeur will carry New Jersey to the finals. After that, they are on their own. I stopped picking the Ducks to lose after the second Wild shutout.

Congrats to the Ducks! Good luck in the Finals!

I just wish they would have scored some more goals. I think that Gaborik was sick and it showed. Wouldn't have made a difference in the end result, but they might have got 1 game off of him.

Unfortunately I think the Senators are done.
They may win the next game but they'll lose the series.

Well, the year of the lockout, Detroit was a definite favorite to beat NJ and NJ won.

Not only won, but swept 'em .

NJ was a 6 seed that year, and while they had reached the Conference Finals the year before (against the Rangers), that was thought of as a fluke. It was quite a surprise when the Devs won.

Someone (usually me) posts a descritpion of a "shady" player and their initials. You try to name the player.

Basically a "shady" player falls in between the stars (too easy) and the scrubs (too hard). It's typically guys who played for a few years and who's name would be kown to an average fan, but not someone so obvious that anyone could get it.

Ideally, the game is designed to get you pounding your head on your keybaord going "damn, I know this guy, what was his name again?"

Or, in the case of about two pages ago, burning down your own house.

Excellent- I might be able to jump in on the next round then. Unfortunately my good hockey knowledge only goes back about 7 years or however long ESPN has held the rights to more than just the playoffs/finals (I vaguely remember watching Hawks/Pens final but the first thing I really remember was the Marty McSorley stick incident in the Habs/Kings series).

Michel Petit is right, I reckon.

My boy! My first favorite hockey player. Petr Klima

Joel Otto sounds right.

- Shady defenseman with ridiculous shin pads: C.L.

Craig Ludwig.

- Shady Blues goalie, usually a backup: V.R.

Vincent Reindeau? Also played for the Wings. Also got punched in the head for no apparent reason by Bob Probert. Good times...

Tim Hunter

- Shady Flame, Flyer, Leaf forward: M.B.

Good call on the Shady Jets d-man, Cards. I wanted to say Mario Marois, but he never played for the Pens.

Jon Slaney.

The answers to my six were right... I had Kay Whitmore as the goalie, although I guess Weekes could work if you consider Carolina to be the Whalers. He's still active, though.
