Florida looks pretty solid against UWM today. I've been arguing since the brackers were released about how a OSU/Florida game would shake out. Up to this point, nothing I've seen today is making me re-evaluate my opinion that Florida will win that game (assuming OSU can win their near-home game against Georgetown this weekend).

I'm hoping like heck that WSU can finish strong against Tennessee and keep Pearl out of another Sweet 16. I'm tired of watching ESPN/CBS fawn over this douche.

My part is done. Sincere apologies.

Rooting hard for Tennessee and the other SEC teams today. Hurts that Arkansas was the only one to let the league down in round 1.

That OSU/Georgetown matchup is not a given by any means. If OSU looks past them, the Hoyas will beat them.

Tennessee/Wichita State looks like it will go to the wire. Come on Tennessee! I have Christ Lofton in Top Gun and the team in Survivor.....

Go UNC! They're the last team left that I have any rooting interest in at all ... well, except to root for Duke losing.

Miami, if it was on a true neutral court I would think G-Town wins. But in Dayton I'm guessing they find a way to win it.

I'm expecting Dials to have some hard sledding inside against Hibbard, so the Buckeyes will have to knock down some shots from outside. And they haven't done a great job of that over the last few weeks. But their defense has been getting the job done, as they have continued to stack up wins down the stretch. But this is the game (outside of Illinois/Washington, for pure rooting interests) that I'm most intrigued about in the 2nd round.

I would like to see that Illinois/Washington game. I have a buddy on the west coast who spent the last couple months of the season talking about Brandon Roy. I have not seen him play yet.

what happened to that 7-2 run you went on to start the game guys? All of a sudden you let them make a 7-0 run back at you? They're not that good!

You're not shocking, work harder.

Thanks,

I guess they must've heard me. Now so long as they don't let Tennessee go on some big run here, this one will go down to the wire.

Mike Jensen of UW = Mr. Joshua?

Huskies up 10 - did not want my run of an uninterrupted Sweet 16 to continue with this game, but not a good start.

Why is it that watching Bruce Pearl, I always feel like he's auditioning for some part in a play, with the way he is on the sidelines. As if he's still on ESPN or something.

I've got Wichita State in my bracket, so finally I can cheer for an upset (I do regardless) and it actually benefits me.

shockers by 5 with 27.2 to go

as long as they can hit their FT's and force tennessee into off-balance shots they should be good

Yeah, no kidding. Wichita State seems to have more pressure now, because Tennessee knows it can win if it comes down to one shot. So, the Shockers can't do anything stupid.

BC down 25-22, but they just have been having another one of their horrid shooting nights (Montana not doing much better...i think both teams are between 33-38% from the floor).

someone needs to get hot to give BC a lift

25-22 Montana, BC w/ the ball...3:45 in the 1st half

but BC is 33% from the floor and Montana is like 38% or something equally as crappy. not a pretty game at all.

3 Eagles just grabbed one offensive rebound. And Montana can't stop Craig Smith...he's gone to go for 20-10 in the first half alone, which is opening up things for the outside shooters and the cutters

Nice to see the Eagles hit a couple threes early in the 2nd half as the Grizzlies just pack it in on the 2-3 zone trying to stop smith.

Talk about a hostile tourney crowd, mind you.

i'd like to see the Eagles hold off a Montana run here and then I'll feel the game is under control, Montana doesn't seem to have the weapons defensively to stop Smith + Dudley/Hinnet/Rice

Congrats to Wichita State. UNC can now reach the elite 8 with the highest seed they've faced being a 7 seed. Of coruse, they can't overlook George Mason and Wichita State is looking damn good, so it doesn't look as easy as it sounds.

Is it me, or is Montana just too happy to drop 10 and punt (ie, take a three without looking inside) every time down the floor?

Illini have come from 14 down in first half to establish a double-digit lead. I'm just giddy watching them rip up UW right now.

Better keep building up that lead, because with the fouls the way they are it could disappear in a hurry if/when Augustine goes to the bench alongside Randle. And UW is going to get to the foul line plenty, no doubt about it ...

BC needs to stop the next Montana run, and they should be fine.. (something like +15 on rebounds on the game so far)

Rice is going to be incredible. We are going to <3 him. It's funny too, to listen to someone like my dad go "man BC is going to be bad when Smith+Dudley leave" and then hear him totally go "WOW!! RICE IS GOING TO BE AWESOME!"

I'm like "yeah dad...still think they'll stink?"
