I like Lauranitis a lot, not liking he went to an NFC west rival

I don't get the concern on how he has reacted to injuries, he played in all but 3 games despite being injured from the moment he stepped on campus. I understand the concern about injury history but I don't get the toughness complaints. Cards got a steal.

Alexander is a question mark though. I think they could have filled a deeper hole here.

Bullocks played last year admirably but he was not the same player he showed before he tore up his leg. We need someone to break on balls. Bullocks best attribute is playing the run and that just isn't going to cut it. He was burnt a lot in coverage.

The Broncos are insane. That 1 could be in the top 10 next year with their roster minus Cutler.

I've also read that Delmas is a hard-hitter on defense (like guys such as Troy Polamalu and Bob Sanders). If that is true, then it'll add a lot of energy to Detroit's defense next season. I really like the pick for the Lions. I think he can be a top 5 safety in this league based on what I've read about him. If the Colts didn't already have two good safeties in addition to Bob Sanders, I would have been happy if the Colts had taken him.

Did they get Denver's no 1, or Chicago's no 1 next year? That's the Q.

Might be the worst move of the entire draft. Not that Smith isn't a good player worthy of being picked about now, but that you might easily be giving up a #12-15 pick next year for him.

Depends on the parameters. It could be which ever pick is worse (or the Bears 1st next year). If it's the Broncos own pick though, then it's extremely dumb.

Again, we'll see which pick they gave up. Chicago's pick is likely to be lower than that.

well if you saw the clips of him as he was being drafted they showed him running out of bounds rather than hitting the defender and trying to get more yards over concern for being injured. I certainly hope they got a steal though

Well, hopefully he'll turn out to be a Benny Blades type, otherwise, I think this is a lame pick.

That's what I'm wondering - I think Seattle would be fine with that, but I don't know NFL rules on this.

Abe's basic draft rule - Never trade picks from future years in a round higher than the current one.

Wonderful rule, except there's a time value of draft picks as well. Its happened again and again; I don't always agree, but you can understand why.

As an Steelers' fan, I've got to say that (for the first time in quite awhile) it looks like the rest of the division has made pretty wise selections. Ravens are usually pretty solid, but no blunders from the Bungles or the Brownies is a pretty big shock. Bengals are tearing up, IMO.

I don't like it one bit.

I have a sneaking suspicion that the Pats are going to grab Pat White with one of their 75 second round picks.

It would be a bummer if he goes to a team that I hate, like the Ravens or Pats.

SI

Terrell Davis and Tom Brady would like a word with you.

(and yeah, I know you can pull out hundreds of others to have a word with me)

In all seriousness though, for a team as bad as Cleveland, it wouldn't be a shock if there was a 6th rounder good enough to play for them if they pick right, or it could be ammo to move up in another round since it seems like they had a specific player in mind for their first rounder.

AWESOME!!!

Pick #40 - Patriots select Ron Brace (DT, Boston College)

Love the pick as an alum, as a football fan, and as a MA resident (Brace is a local kid, born in Springfield, went to HS in Worcester, MA)

Does anyone know why Everette Brown keeps getting downgraded? PFW dropped him ten spots suddenly in the last week or so. And he's still falling. Did he test positively for child pron or something?
