This is a very weak draft for quarterbacks. Other than the top two, there's nobody thats really any good.

I don't think you can deny how frightening that pro day film looked. It's a valid observation.

I was merely commenting on the tape of his pro day. It was awful. Watch it. If you still think I'm an idiot for thinking that then so be it.

I do have an open mind! I'd love nothing more for Stanton turn out to be an awesome pro, just like I did Charles Rogers. Let's hope Drew turns out better than Chuck.

Pro days are not even remotely an exact science or indicative of the way a player might play in actual games. Drew's a gamer.

And actually you're wrong. Its very easy to tell whether a player will be good or not on draft day.

If a player is drafted by the Colts or the Patriots, chances are that player will be good.

If a player is drafted by the Raiders or the Jets, chances are that player will suck.

Yeah, that was my final hope. I'm happy for him, but I'm personally bummed I won't see him play much. St. Louis got themselves a hell of a player.

I like the deal for the Raiders, they got a veteran QB to fill in while JaMarcus gets ready and Williams could be a contributor. All they gave up is the 4th round pick they got for trading down in the second.

"Veteran" in many cases is a synonym for "retread."

I find it funny that Cleveland has traded a pick in every round except the 1st and 7th to Dallas, plus their 1st next year, for Dallas's 1st, 2nd, and 6th.

Can Detroit fit Johnson, Stanton, 2 3rds, 2 4ths, 4 5ths and a 7th under that cap? Seems like a stretch to me.

I agree. Getting a 1st round pick WR and 3rd round pick QB with starting XP for #105 is a solid move. you have to think Moss will get moved now.

The draft picks are sunk costs as soon as the draft is over. Mike Williams gives them a bit of versatility to move Moss, but you have to imagine he's still going to be a project. He's proven nothing in the pros so far, so it seems that he was more of a throw in because Detroit wanted to get rid of him than a major piece.

I agree. It's not a huge price to pay for some potential upside. McCown is a better veteran QB than anything the Raiders have on their roster. As for Mike Williams... Good luck with him.

Maybe Oakland has figured out how to get more from lazy players......Moss, Branch, Williams..... Work ethic isnt exactly high priority for those Raiders.

I wouldn't move Moss just because you got Mike Williams. That's like saying, "Well, I just got a bicycle, so I might as well sell my SUV."
